Energy Department
The Energy Group is responsible for supporting Vantage’s data center portfolio through the execution and management of complex commercial energy agreements, including utility service agreements, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, gas supply and infrastructure contracts, and other energy-adjacent arrangements. The team partners closely with project management, development, legal, finance, and external counterparties to ensure contracts are executed efficiently, accurately documented, and aligned with business objectives.
Position Overview
This role can be based in any of our US locations or Remote
The Energy Project Development Manager is accountable for the end-to-end execution of assigned energy projects, serving as the single-threaded owner responsible for delivering projects that meet schedule, cost, and reliability objectives. This role operates at the center of the energy development lifecycle, integrating interconnection strategy, infrastructure delivery, and commercial structuring into a cohesive execution plan.
The Manager is responsible for driving project planning, coordination, and decision-making across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a high degree of ownership and accountability, managing competing priorities, navigating uncertainty, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact project delivery.
Acting as the primary interface for internal stakeholders, utilities, and external partners, the Energy Project Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing projects through key development milestones, resolving complex issues, and maintaining clear, accurate, and actionable reporting. Success in this role requires the ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution, while driving outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving development environment.
Essential Job Functions
Own execution of assigned energy projects from initiation through delivery
Develop and manage integrated project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate cross-functional teams across T&I, Infrastructure, and Commercial
Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues
Drive decision-making and escalate key challenges as needed
Manage internal and external stakeholders, including utilities and partners
Ensure alignment across technical, commercial, and schedule requirements
Track and report project performance, milestones, and risks
Support development of project strategies and execution plans
Maintain disciplined documentation and reporting across the project lifecycle
Job Requirements
7–10 years of experience in energy development, infrastructure delivery, or project management (PMP preferred)
Experience with energy, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong project management skills, including schedule, budget, and risk management
Ability to manage complex, cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with energy project lifecycle and delivery challenges
Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details
Salary Range: US $140,000- $150,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations.
This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
