Job type: Full-time or part-time. Hybrid preferred. In-person and a limited number of full-time remote roles available.

The role
We are seeking a licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD) who primarily provides psychotherapy to clients across a range of needs, in person at one of our clinics or through telehealth. You will carry a therapy caseload with meaningful flexibility, and you are welcome to integrate psychological assessment or other services within your training and scope if that is part of how you want to practice. The heart of this role is excellent therapy and the clinical leadership that naturally comes with doctoral expertise.
Who thrives at Vantage
Vantage Mental Health is a clinician-led nonprofit outpatient practice, built by clinicians who love this work and wanted a better place to do it. We are focused exclusively on our mission to provide excellent care and support the professionals who do it. We are adding doctoral-level psychologists to our team as clinicians and clinical leaders, and we are looking for someone who primarily wants to do therapy and to help raise the clinical bar for everyone around them.
Why this role is a great fit for a psychologist looking for a group practice career home.
- You get to practice at the full depth of your doctoral training, doing the therapy work you love with the time and autonomy to do it well.
- Your expertise is genuinely wanted. You would help shape how psychology fits into a growing multidisciplinary practice.
- You can expand evidence-based practice across the team. Doctoral training naturally deepens and spreads good clinical work, and we would value your influence on case consultation, clinical standards, and the growth of our earlier-career clinicians.
- You can integrate assessment or other work within your scope if you want to, without it defining the role. This is therapy first, with room to bring more of what you are trained to do.
- You keep real ownership of your caseload, your schedule, and your approach, supported by a team and infrastructure that take the administrative weight off your plate.
You will likely love it here if
- You love the clinical work itself and can see yourself doing it for years. This is the heart of everything else.
- You want to be part of a multidisciplinary team, with colleagues to learn from, collaborate with, and create alongside, and you want your clients to have a full range of outpatient services and expertise behind them.
- You take real pride in your craft. Your clients want to come back and see you, and you hold yourself to a high standard.
- You are always looking to keep learning and growing, and you enjoy helping others do the same.
- You want genuine ownership of your own practice, your caseload, your schedule, and how you work, with the right support behind you.
To be straightforward, this is a therapy-focused, collections-based role for psychologists who are invested in the work and in a team. It is not built for a fully independent solo practice or a fixed-salary arrangement. Our compensation is collections-based and fully transparent, and it rewards the care you provide with compensation, autonomy and a great team culture.
What you would do
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy as your primary focus.
- Bring evidence-based approaches to your own work and help extend them across the team.
- Contribute to case consultation and informal clinical mentorship for master's-level and pre-licensed clinicians.
- Optionally integrate psychological assessment or specialty services within your scope and interest.
- Keep accurate, timely documentation consistent with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Take part in staff meetings, case consultation, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Active Minnesota licensure as a Psychologist (LP), or eligibility with active progress toward Minnesota licensure.
- A primary interest in providing psychotherapy, with depth in one or more evidence-based modalities.
- Experience providing therapy. The ability to bring at least a partial caseload is preferred.
- Interest in psychological assessment is welcome but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a steady commitment to ethical, confidential practice.
- An appetite for learning, collaboration, and helping raise clinical quality across the team.
Compensation and benefits
Vantage uses a transparent, collections-based compensation model. This is an Employed (W2) position. You see all revenue and expenses, and the typical net is 60 to 80 percent of collections, with no cap on earning potential. We do not set your hours, and you have the flexibility to define your work life balance.
Benefits and other compensation include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid compensation for supervision and consultation, and PSLF eligibility through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status (eligibility is based on nonprofit status and is not a guarantee of approval).
