Overall Job Description

We are seeking a recent college graduate or entry-level salesperson who is flexible, versatile, energetic, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The Southeast Territory Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting and opening new beach retail accounts between Charleston, SC and Cocoa Beach, FL. This role is also responsible for physically transporting and delivering products to customer accounts as orders are placed.

The position involves representing a portfolio of premium beach and outdoor lifestyle products while building strong relationships with independent retailers. This role provides support to the sales team and reports to the Regional Manager – Coastal Dealer Program.

Travel is a core component of this position, with up to 90% travel required. A company-branded van is provided. The position is based out of the Distribution Center in Bloomingdale, GA (outside Savannah, GA). No relocation assistance is offered.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus performance-based annual bonuses tied to prospecting and sales results.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales and marketing plans to achieve ambitious sales goals.
• Prospect and establish relationships with retail shops and vendors throughout the assigned territory through regular in-person visits.
• Present products to prospective retailers, open new accounts, and effectively communicate the value of the product portfolio.
• Follow up on sales leads through both in-person meetings and phone communication.
• Maintain a professional image while demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and sales documentation.
• Communicate market observations, customer feedback, and industry trends in a timely manner.
• Track sales calls, customer interactions, and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Understand the value and impact of brand recognition within the retail marketplace.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as needed.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by introducing new products, sharing market trends, and driving ongoing sales growth.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong motivation to succeed in a sales-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to document and manage results within a growing sales territory.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Clean driving record; background and motor vehicle record checks required.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time, including occasional weekends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience handling customer objections and closing sales is a plus.
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
