Job Description

This includes the landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS), wellfield infrastructure, RNG processing plant, compression systems, and associated pipeline equipment. - Conduct routine and non-routine landfill gas field monitoring activities including wellhead inspections, header evaluations, vacuum adjustments, and system balancing.
- Perform wellfield adjustments to maximize methane recovery and minimize oxygen intrusion.
- Support gas-chasing efforts and field optimization initiatives.
- Perform routine rounds across the full site, including wells, headers, blowers, compressors, membranes/PSA systems, and metering infrastructure.
- Assist with startup, shutdown, and normal operating adjustments.
- Operate wheeled and tracked light and heavy equipment to support repairs and maintenance across the site.
- Regularly perform work within active landfill fill areas in coordination with landfill operations personnel.
- Work safely around heavy equipment traffic, active tipping operations, changing grades, unstable terrain, and evolving landfill conditions.
- Identify and communicate landfill activities that may impact gas collection system integrity or methane recovery performance.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all company, OSHA, EPA, and PHMSA safety and environmental standards.
- Participate in and document Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all required work permits.
- Assist in field monitoring activities supporting site air permit requirements.
- Document well adjustments, field repairs, and modifications in accordance with compliance standards.
- Exercise stop work authority (SWA) when unsafe conditions are identified.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across wellfield, plant, and pipeline systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair wellheads, lateral piping, header systems, valves, condensate infrastructure, and associated GCCS components.
- Perform dewatering activities including pump inspection, troubleshooting, and replacement.
- Assist with HDPE pipe repairs, well tie-ins, valve replacements, header extensions, and minor field construction activities.
- Support contractors during maintenance and construction work.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate daily tasks and shift handovers with fellow technicians and the Plant Manager.
- Participate in training programs to build technical proficiency and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and support teams to address operational or maintenance issues.
- Support a strong safety and teamwork culture across all operational activities.
