About the Role:
Responsible for operational management of the Adult Day Health Program and the delivery of quality medical, social, nutritional, and recreational services, as well as supervising program staff. Be on-site and available to staff, participants, and legally authorized representatives each week during the hours of operation.
Operate the ADH program to ensure that services required by participants are available and are provided in accordance with professional standards of care, the Program's written policies and procedures, and all applicable regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direction and supervision of all aspects of the Program
- Management of personnel

Ensuring appropriate supervision and evaluation of all personnel

Overseeing Program safety and emergency evacuation plans

Develops administrative plans and procedures.

Managing the fiscal administration of the Program

Establishing collaborative relationships with community services to ensure that necessary support services are available to participants and their families

Notifying the participant or his or her legally authorized representative in the event of change in a participant's charges, billings, benefit status, or other administrative matters

Delegating responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the Program during any short-term absence of the Program Director

Overseeing the quality assessment and performance improvement program
- Immediately informing the participant, consulting with the participant's primary care provider, and immediately notifying the participant's legally authorized representative or contact person in the following circumstances: An emergency, serious incident, or fire; Severe illness involving the participant; An incident involving the participant which resulted in injury or which required medical intervention; A significant change in the participant's status; A need to alter the participant's treatment significantly; A significant revision of the participant's plan of care; A decision to transfer the participant from the Program.
- Immediately notifying the participant, the participant's primary care provider, and the participant's legally authorized representative or contact person, upon a decision to discharge the participant from the Program
Education, Experience and Licensure Requirements
- Sensitivity and understanding regarding the needs of elder and disabled persons and families.
- Ability to work well with persons of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
- Bachelor's college degree required. Masters preferred.
- Clinical degree in nursing, PT or OT required and or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 years responsibility for management of adult day health programs, services or equivalent.
- Positive attitude, energetic, assertive, and capable of mentoring and developing staff.
- Demonstrated integrity on personal as well as professional level.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, basic computer, and management skills
- Familiarity with the Department of Public Health, MassHealth and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations and ability to put them into practice.
- Familiarity with provider services such as Senior Care Options (SCO), One Care, Area Service Access Points (ASAP) regulatory compliance and audit readiness
- Demonstrated robust experience in Massachusetts regulations.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership and management experience, including healthcare operations.
- Experience in developing and managing key operating indicators.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and secondary language preferred
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Works in a clean well-lit environment with fluctuating temperatures in close proximity to others.
- Requires substantial periods of repetitive work utilizing a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
- Requires lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires pushing and pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires walking and standing; requires frequent sitting more than 50% of the work day; requires the ability to negotiate stairs; requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
