Wacker Neuson is looking for an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Menomonee Falls, WI. If you have a strong background in industrial maintenance, enjoy troubleshooting complex machinery, and take pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty manufacturing equipment while supporting production through preventative maintenance and equipment improvements.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating issues.
- Perform advanced repairs and mechanical adjustments on production equipment.
- Rebuild and overhaul machinery, components, and attachments.
- Read and interpret machine drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Install, align, and calibrate bearings, spindles, shafts, and other machine components.
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC controls and automated equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with cross-training team members and support other departments as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Industrial mechanical systems
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Bearings, pumps, piping systems, and drive components
- AC/DC electrical systems and motor controls
- PLCs, ladder logic, CNC controls, and industrial electronics
- Ability to read blueprints, machine schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
