- Ability to manage and conduct projects within the department as assigned by human resources administrators.

- Successful experience in a Human Resources environment.
- Knowledge of Tyler Munis Human Resource Information System.
- Knowledge of Frontline Absence Management, Central and Recruiting and Hiring systems.
- Knowledge of CJIS and Hire Right systems.
- Manages confidential matters relating to employees, volunteers, or perspective employees with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Manages a variety of human resource programs and procedures for all substitute teachers.
- Monitors substitute fill rates with Frontline Absence Management.
- Works and communicates with human resources and school-based administrators by researching and contacting current substitutes to fill vacancies.
- Monitors substitute teacher performance and processes disciplinary action paperwork.
- Processes employment applications and supporting documents, and conducts reference checks as needed.
- Processes, tracks, and completes all steps in hiring new substitutes, including fingerprinting.
- Processes, tracks, and completes all steps in student teacher onboarding.
- Creates new and replacement ID badges and activates them as appropriate.
- Performs as the secondary processor of criminal history background checks required by the Family Law Article (CJIS Fingerprinting) and Hire Right background checks.
- Scans background checks, personal identifications, and I-9 forms to Frontline Central.
- Monitors new employee gift supplies.
- Collects cash, check, and credit card payments for fingerprinting and processes payments through accounting office.
- Receives persons in the office and answers inquiries by telephone in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Provides backup support to other human resources personnel as needed.
- Demonstrates courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public Schools.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Required periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to sufficiently and efficiently move throughout the building and grounds for extended periods.
- Must use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with others as generally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, and hear.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Ability to move, raise, lower, and carry objects up to 20 lbs. irregularly.
- Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, reach, and climb.
- Will be subjected to loud noises, interactions, and traffic flow in a highly populated office environment.
