Position Profile
Weaver is looking for a Commercial Tax Manager or Senior Manager with extensive partnership experience to join our growing firm. A Commercial Tax Manager or Senior Manager provides federal tax compliance and planning services to large middle market and public companies. A Tax Manager or Senior Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm
- Understanding of partnership and partner tax allocations
- Possess technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a wide variety of industries, with a heavy focus in the fields of Manufacturing and Distribution, Technology, and/or Construction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Weaver Compensation and Benefits
At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. We take the time to evaluate our employees' wants and needs and invest our resources accordingly. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $290,000 in the California, Denver, Maryland, New Jersey and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. In addition to compensation packages, Weaver offers competitive health benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
