The Accounting Specialist supports daily accounting and administrative functions for Weller Brothers and affiliated entities. This position is responsible for processing routine financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn accounting processes in a fast-paced, team environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and customer-focused attitude.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree in a relevant field ( e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics)
• Minimum graduating GPA of 3.2
• Preferably 0-3 years of experience in a related role

• Process vendor invoices and verify coding accuracy.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and assist with statement reconciliation.
• Post customer payments and follow up on past-due accounts as directed.
• Assist with issuing purchase orders and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Enter data and prepare basic journal entries as assigned.
• Support month-end close activities (e.g., reconciliations, reports).
• Assist in preparing sales/use tax and excise tax filings.
• Maintain organized digital and paper financial records.
• Assist customers and team members with accounting-related inquiries.
• Set up new customers and projects in company systems.
• Support the Controller and accounting team with various projects as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
