Wendel is looking for a well-versed General Construction Cost Estimator that is experienced with both high-level, conceptual cost estimating at early project stages all the way through bid-level, detailed cost estimates to join our New York based Construction Management team. This position is open in our Williamsville, NY, and Rochester, NY offices. This position will be a key player on the team and will assist in the growth and development of our Estimating Department and our Construction Management Practice Area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Estimator with General Trades and Site Development estimating firm wide.
- Conceptual-level estimating, milestone estimates during the progression of design and detailed bid-level construction cost estimates.
- Assembly and roll-up of cost estimates to include all trades on a project.
- Be an integral part of the Construction Management Practice Area and assist with the future strategic growth of the Estimating Team.
Qualifications:
- An Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology/ Management, Engineering or Architecture is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in General Construction Cost Estimating with multidiscipline buildings and infrastructure projects of all sizes.
- Proficiency and significant experience with General Trades and Site Development Cost Estimating at the concept level through detailed bid level estimates is required.
- Use of cost estimating software and the development of detailed quantity take offs and application of historical cost data to prepare estimates is essential experience required.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Have leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000.
