Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide part-time accounting support for multiple companies. This remote, 1099 position averages up to 30 - 40 hours per month and requires strong cost accounting, financial reporting, and QuickBooks Online experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accurate financial records, accounting documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and month-end accounting activities.
- Manage payroll support, 1099 reporting, interest expense, and journal entries.
- Maintain invoices, receipts, ACH authorizations, W-9s, tax codes, tax exemption certificates, mileage records, and accounting files.
- Perform cost accounting and intercompany accounting, including pricing analysis and support billing using Clockify.
- Maintain corporate records, including Secretary of State filings, leases, contracts, subscriptions, and other accounting documentation.
- Maintain QuickBooks Online records, including deleted transactions, declined estimates, chart of accounts, and supporting documentation.
- Support State of Georgia filings and ensure accounting compliance.
- Maintain accounting templates, reference files, SOPs, work instructions, and master data.
- Assist with expense reports, benefits administration support, rental workbook processes, and other accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of senior-level accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and intercompany accounting.
- Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
