As we continue our rapid expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Associate to help fuel our acquisition pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective veterinary practice owners.

What You'll Do
As a Business Development Associate, you will serve as the first point of contact with prospective veterinary practice owners and play a critical role in expanding WVP's acquisition pipeline. Success in this role requires a consultative approach, exceptional communication skills, persistence, and the ability to build trust through meaningful conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and qualify veterinary hospitals and practice owners that align with WVP's acquisition strategy.
- Generate qualified acquisition opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email campaigns, text messaging, direct mail, and social outreach.
- Build relationships with veterinary practice owners through thoughtful, consultative conversations focused on understanding their long-term goals.
- Conduct market research to identify acquisition opportunities, emerging markets, competitive activity, and industry trends.
- Maintain accurate prospect information, activity tracking, and pipeline management within CRM platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Directors of Business Development to transition qualified opportunities through the acquisition process.
- Manage multiple prospecting campaigns while maintaining high levels of organization and follow-up.
- Support marketing initiatives, targeted outreach campaigns, and lead generation efforts.
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and veterinary trade shows to expand WVP's market presence.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing, and entrepreneurial business development team.
What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), Inside Sales, Lead Generation, Account Development, or Customer Success.
- Experience conducting outbound cold calling and prospecting to small business owners or executive-level decision makers.
- Strong ability to build rapport and establish credibility with business owners.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms – Salesforce preferred.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management and follow-up skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive to exceed activity and performance goals.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, and collaborative environment.
- Experience within veterinary healthcare, dental, healthcare services, medical practice management, or private equity-backed organizations is preferred but not required.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. The salary range for this opportunity is $22.00 - $24.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
