About Us
We are a 52-bed skilled nursing facility located in Warren Ohio, dedicated to excellence in long-term and short-term care. The Maintenance Director is a key leadership position responsible for facility operations, safety, and regulatory readiness.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Director
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and life safety regulations
- Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and emergency systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and regulatory risks
- Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, work orders, and compliance logs
- Collaborate with administration and department leaders to support survey readiness
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Maintain a clean, safe, and resident-friendly environment at all times
Requirements for Maintenance Director
- Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or plant operations (healthcare or long-term care preferred)
- Strong knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and regulatory standards
- Ability to manage preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairs
- Experience supervising vendors and managing maintenance budgets
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and staff
- Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Passion for creating a safe, comfortable environment for seniors
