YMX Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven DII Shuttle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the logistical operations and effective management of transportation, inventory, documentation, billing and customer service of key accounts. The attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multitask are essential to ensure the smooth flow of goods from point of origin to final destination.

Responsibilities

• Accept and update load tendered in EDI.
• Schedule pick and drop appointments for loads.
• Plan loads on routing sheet.
• Coordinate teams on any issues and short notice requests.
• Manage drop trailer pool.
• Confirm staffing and coordinate with local board planner if drivers are needed to flex for volume.
• Send route request to vendor.
• Plan and build seasonal loads as needed.
• Build load plan in TMW.
• Manage drop trailer pool.
• Monitor daily backlog emails.
• Monitor red tag trailer lists and coordinate repairs with shop and outside vendors.
• Bid on spot quote opportunities.
• Assist drivers and customers calling dispatch office.
• Review and process driver completed paperwork.
• Coordinate with on call dispatcher the handling of any after hour issues.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills, ability to work independently, and active action/organizational skills.
• 1+ years of experience in the coordinating of logistics activities, managing documentation and interacting with customers and carriers.
• Valid Class A - Commercial Drivers Licences w/ a current medical clearance card and clean driving record.

Required for Insurance Purposes:

• No major violations within 5 years
• No more than 2 preventable accidents and 2 moving violations in the last 5 years
• No speeding tickets over 15 mph or reckless driving in the last 5 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 year

Physical Requirements

• Sitting - Periodic sitting in spotting vehicle to perform driving tasks for hours at a time. Walking - Occasionally required to walk moderate distances to conduct yard inspections or search for trailers.
• Bending/Stretching - Frequent turning of back/torso/neck when guiding vehicle to connect to trailers or connect trailer to dock door. Use of arms to connecting to trailers. Bending required when inspecting vehicle or trailer.
• Climbing - Frequent climbing in and out of cab of vehicle.
• Communication - Frequently required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/radio
• Travel - Periodic required to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
• Observation/Eyesight - Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors.
• Lifting - Occasionally required to solo lift supplies weighing from 5 to 20 pounds.

Environmental & Hazardous Conditions

This role primarily takes place outdoors and is directly impacted by weather conditions. Temperatures can range from extreme heat to below freezing, especially during vehicle inspections. Additionally, work may be required in wet conditions, including rain, snow, and ice. Additionally, if working with an ICE vehicle, fueling of vehicle is requred along with being positioned above a desel engine. If working with a E-Vehicle charging of the vehicle is required by ensuring vehicle is connected to charger.

Pay Transparency
Compensation for this position may vary based on several factors, including shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shift, site/location, and eligibility for safety‑based incentive pay. Final pay details are confirmed during the hiring process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.50 - $30.50 per hour
