Position Overview:
The litigation team is responsible for all identified and assigned cases that need litigation in order to maximize client compensation. Paralegals support attorneys throughout the entire litigation process, providing critical assistance in case preparation and management. Responsibilities include drafting and organizing legal documents, managing discovery, coordinating subpoenas, and maintaining accurate case files. The Litigation Paralegal plays an essential role in ensuring smooth case progression and successful outcomes for Zayed Law Office’s clients.
Responsibilities:
- Execute directives and legal tasks assigned by AJZ and assigned attorneys, including high-priority case management and special project coordination.
- Draft, file, and serve legal documents such as subpoenas, HIPAA orders, and court filings; ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
- Coordinate deposition logistics, including scheduling attorneys, prepping clients and doctors, and organizing relevant records and summaries.
- Manage communication with clients regarding case progress, treatment updates, and deposition preparation and document in Neos.
- Prepare and maintain specials summaries, medical records, billing documentation, and supplemental records for active cases.
- Handle lien resolutions and assist in drafting accurate settlement statements and reduction requests.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation for emails, faxes and eservice.
- Conduct research and case tracking using platforms such as Odyssey, LexisNexis, and PACER.
- Maintain and organize case files, treater lists, and related legal documents for litigation support in both Neos and in hard files.
- Schedule and manage legal calls, meetings, and deposition prep sessions for attorneys and clients.
- Promote a professional office culture by upholding confidentiality, integrity, and strong internal communication.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Relevant Job Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth legal administrative expertise, including knowledge of subpoenas, court filings, service of process, and deposition scheduling.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle high-priority cases, coordinate multiple deadlines, and maintain meticulously organized records and case files.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and professional interactions with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and court personnel.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, skilled in preparing accurate specials summaries, treatment updates, and settlement statements with precision.
- Proficient in navigating legal platforms and databases such as Odyssey, LexisNexis, and PACER, alongside office software for document preparation and scheduling.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of experience in legal work
- Paralegal Certification preferred but not required
- 1 year in the personal injury sector preferred but not required
- Spanish Preferred but not Required
