Position Overview:
The Vice President, Field Deployment is responsible for the overall strategy, financial performance, operational execution, and growth of Zones' Field Deployment business. This executive leader owns the end-to-end delivery organization, including the Field Delivery organization, Field Management Office (FMO), Field Technicians, and large-scale customer deployment engagements. The role carries full P&L responsibility and is accountable for driving revenue growth, margin expansion, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and service innovation.
Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, the VP of Field Deployment is responsible for building a scalable, high-performing delivery organization capable of executing complex national and global deployment programs while maintaining best-in-class customer outcomes.
What you will do as the Vice President, Field Deployment:

P&L Ownership and Business Leadership
- Own the overall financial performance of the Field Deployment business, including revenue, gross margin, operating income, utilization, and cost management.
- Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Drive strategic initiatives that increase deployment services revenue and improve profitability.
- Establish financial forecasts, operational budgets, investment plans, and performance targets.
- Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue and margin commitments.
Field Deployment Strategy
- Define the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for Field Deployment Services.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, service offerings, partner capabilities, and customer demands that support business growth.
- Develop scalable delivery models supporting enterprise deployment projects, technology refreshes, lifecycle services, workplace modernization, and complex rollout engagements.
- Lead organizational transformation initiatives focused on automation, operational efficiency, and service delivery innovation.
- Develop partner models that drive field efficiencies while enabling the business to scale
Field Operations Leadership
- Provide executive leadership for all field deployment operations across North America and global markets.
- Oversee deployment execution teams responsible for large-scale customer rollout engagements.
- Ensure operational consistency across all regions, customers, and deployment programs.
- Establish performance standards, delivery methodologies, quality controls, and governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve technician productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Field Management Office (FMO)
- Lead the Field Management Office responsible for deployment planning, project governance, resource allocation, operational reporting, and delivery oversight.
- Establish standardized deployment methodologies, operational processes, and performance management frameworks.
- Ensure effective workforce planning and resource forecasting across all deployment programs.
- Drive visibility into project health, operational performance, customer outcomes, and financial results.
Large Deployment Program Delivery
- Provide executive oversight for strategic deployment engagements and enterprise transformation projects.
- Ensure successful delivery of large, complex, multi-site deployment programs.
- Serve as executive escalation point for critical customer programs.
- Establish governance models that ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Drive accountability for customer satisfaction, service quality, and delivery outcomes.
Customer and Market Leadership
- Act as executive sponsor for strategic customer relationships.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Client Services leaders to develop go-to-market strategies for deployment services.
- Participate in executive customer engagements, business reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing and new customer accounts.
- Strengthen Zones' reputation as a premier deployment and field services provider.
Talent and Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing organization consisting of Field Delivery Leaders, Deployment Managers, Large Program Managers, Field Operations personnel, and Field Technicians.
- Build leadership succession plans and organizational capabilities.
- Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, customer success, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive workforce engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in field services, deployment services, professional services, or technology operations.
- 10+ years leading large-scale field delivery organizations.
- Demonstrated experience owning a multimillion-dollar services P&L.
- Proven success leading field operations, deployment programs, and project-based service organizations.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed employees and contract resources.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence customers, partners, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated record of driving operational transformation, revenue growth, and margin improvement.
