About this opportunity
The Align Sales Operations team is seeking a Sales Operations Business Partner to support the Strategic Partnerships organization across the US and Canada. This role will serve as the primary operations partner to Strategic Partnerships, enabling scalable growth, protecting revenue integrity, and establishing the systems and governance required to support Align’s expanding partner ecosystem.
This individual will work closely with Strategic Partnerships leadership, Business Development, and cross‑functional partners including Pricing, Finance, Legal, Customer Care, and IT. The role blends hands‑on operational execution with process design, data stewardship, and continuous improvement to support complex partnership models at scale.
About Special Markets and Alternative DSOs
Align’s Strategic Partnerships program supports large, complex partner organizations—including DSOs, OSOs, corporate groups, and other strategic entities—who partner with Align to drive mutual growth. This rapidly growing segment represents many of Align’s largest and most strategic customers and was established as a core pillar of Align’s global strategy in 2022. Growth is driven through new partner acquisition as well as expansion via affiliate growth, acquisitions, and same‑store performance.
Role expectations
- Serve as the Operations Business Partner for Strategic Partnerships
- Partner closely with Strategic Partnerships Business Development teams to support prospecting, financial modeling, contracting, CRM data integrity, and account health in a rapidly evolving and often ambiguous operating environment.
- Act as the primary point of operational ownership for complex, new, or escalated partnership requests, defining workflows where none exist, establishing clarity, accountability, and driving timely resolution across stakeholders.
Own Partnership Roster Governance & Data Infrastructure
- Own end‑to‑end management of Strategic Partnership doctor and account rosters in Salesforce, including doctor matching by unique ID, group affiliation tracking with effective dates, and ongoing add/remove cadence tied to promotions and eligibility.
- Define and operationalize onboarding, patient transfer, and off‑boarding processes for partners and affiliates, ensuring accuracy and scalability as partnership models evolve.
- Build and manage cohort structures to enable standardized performance measurement and ROI analysis, developing new measurement frameworks as partnership programs launch.
- Own Salesforce operational administration for Strategic Partnerships, including account hierarchies, pricing configuration, data hygiene, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
Protect Revenue Through Promotion, Enrollment & Credit Governance
- Design, execute, and track Strategic Partnership promotions and enrollments, including voucher and promo code requests, terms & conditions submissions, and Salesforce enrollments, establishing governance models from the ground up where needed.
- Own operational visibility and tracking for billing, invoicing, credits, rebills, and subscription corrections related to partnership agreements through final resolution.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and partners on pricing structures, contractual terms, and promotion mechanics, ensuring pricing is accurately configured and revenue integrity is protected.
Enable Contracting & Commercial Operations
- Support the development, execution, and tracking of sales contracts for Strategic Partnership accounts.
- Maintain an accurate and standardized internal contract repository with all relevant documentation.
- Develop and maintain tools to monitor contractual compliance, growth targets, and program requirements, partnering with Strategic Partnerships to resolve gaps.
- Collaborate with Sales Management, Legal, Finance, and Pricing to review and evolve contracting strategies as partnership models scale.
Drive Continuous Improvement & Operational Enablement
- Design and build foundational operational processes as this segment of the business launches, operating effectively with limited precedent and evolving requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, data quality, and cross‑functional workflows supporting Strategic Partnerships.
- Provide interim ownership for exception‑based workflows, with a focus on stabilization, documentation, and transition to scalable, self‑service solutions.
- Support special projects and new initiatives to improve sales effectiveness, revenue integrity, and operational scalability.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or business process optimization supporting complex sales models
- Strong Salesforce.com experience across reporting, CRM data management, account structures, and operational workflows
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with changing requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort working across multiple systems and stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to independently drive issue resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic problem‑solving ability, with curiosity and initiative to define solutions and engage the right partners
- Strong analytical skills with intermediate Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups, pivots) and experience building KPI dashboards
- Financial discipline and business acumen related to pricing, margin, P&Ls, and ASP protection
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment
- Proven experience defining and implementing operational workflows; Lean Six Sigma experience a plus

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Technology Business Partner Jobs at Align Technology Jobs
Frame your IT background around regulated environments
Align operates under FDA and international medical device regulations, so highlighting experience with compliance-driven systems, validated software, or regulated data environments makes your Technology Business Partner candidacy significantly stronger than a generic enterprise IT profile.
Target roles tied to Align's manufacturing and R&D functions
Technology Business Partner openings at Align frequently support product development and supply chain teams. Positioning yourself for those verticals, rather than corporate back-office roles, aligns with the business units where hiring activity is most consistent.
Confirm your degree field maps to a specialty occupation
H-1B approval for Technology Business Partner roles hinges on USCIS finding a direct nexus between your degree field and the position. A degree in information systems, computer science, or business information technology is a much cleaner fit than a general business degree.
Get your OPT or CPT authorization timed to interview cycles
Align's Technology Business Partner hiring runs throughout the year, but budget approvals often accelerate in Q1 and Q3. If you're on F-1 status, having your OPT Employment Authorization Document in hand before reaching the offer stage removes a common delay that causes offers to stall.
Understand how PERM shapes your long-term sponsorship path
Align sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification requires demonstrating no qualified U.S. workers are available. For Technology Business Partners, your specialized domain knowledge in medical device IT strengthens that showing, so documenting your niche experience is worth doing early.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Technology Business Partner roles
Align Technology lists Technology Business Partner positions across multiple locations at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for these openings specifically and identify which postings are active, so you're applying when a role is genuinely open rather than to a stale listing.
Technology Business Partner at Align Technology jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Technology Business Partner at Align Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Align Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Technology Business Partners?
Yes, Align Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Technology Business Partner roles. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related technical or business-technology field. Your degree discipline needs to align clearly with the specific responsibilities in the job description, which typically span IT strategy, business analysis, and systems integration within a global medical device environment.
How do I apply for Technology Business Partner jobs at Align Technology?
Applications go through Align Technology's careers portal, where Technology Business Partner roles are posted by region and business unit. Before applying, review the job description closely to identify which business function the role supports, whether that's R&D, manufacturing, or commercial operations, since each requires a slightly different emphasis in your application materials. You can find and browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces active Align postings for visa-sponsored candidates.
Which visa types does Align Technology commonly use for Technology Business Partner roles?
Align Technology sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas, as well as employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories for Technology Business Partner positions. H-1B is the most common path for full-time roles. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT work for candidates still on student status, and EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship typically follows after an initial period of employment.
What qualifications does Align Technology expect for Technology Business Partner roles?
Most Technology Business Partner positions at Align require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration with an IT focus, or a related technical discipline. Beyond the degree, Align typically looks for experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technology solutions. Familiarity with ERP platforms, project delivery methodologies, and ideally some exposure to regulated or manufacturing environments strengthens a profile considerably for this role within a medical device company.
How do I time the H-1B process when targeting a Technology Business Partner role at Align Technology?
The H-1B cap-subject lottery registration opens each March for an October 1 start date, so an offer needs to be in place before late February for your employer to register you in that cycle. If you're currently on OPT, your 12-month or STEM extension timeline determines how much runway you have. Align can file H-1B petitions for cap-exempt situations if you hold a qualifying status, but for most candidates the April-through-September period is when the petition is filed and adjudicated by USCIS following selection.
