Frame your credentials around client-facing outcomes
Deloitte evaluates Technology Business Partners on their ability to translate technology solutions into business value for clients. Quantify past outcomes in your resume using client impact language, not internal IT metrics, to align with how the consulting model is assessed.
Target Deloitte's industry-aligned technology practices
Deloitte structures its technology consulting work by industry vertical. Targeting a specific practice, such as financial services or government and public services, increases relevance and narrows competition compared to applying to generic technology roles.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Deloitte sponsors multiple visa types for this function. Before an offer is extended, confirm with the recruiter which category applies to your situation, since E-3 and H-1B1 holders face different timelines and procedures than standard H-1B cap-subject candidates.
Prepare for LCA timing in your start date planning
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before petitioning USCIS. For Technology Business Partner roles starting mid-year, this step can compress the available filing window, so align your target start date with realistic processing lead times.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Technology Business Partner roles
Sponsorship-eligible openings at large consulting firms are not always flagged clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Deloitte's Technology Business Partner postings by visa type so you can apply directly to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Build consulting-specific proof points before interviewing
Deloitte's interview process for Technology Business Partner roles typically includes scenario-based questions about stakeholder alignment and technology roadmaps. Prepare case-style examples that demonstrate how you have bridged IT decisions with business strategy in a client or cross-functional context.

Find Technology Business Partner at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Technology Business Partners?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Technology Business Partner roles. As a large professional services firm, Deloitte has an established process for petitioning USCIS on behalf of eligible employees. Cap-subject candidates should note that H-1B registration typically opens in March, and employment cannot begin before October 1 of that fiscal year.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Technology Business Partner roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this role, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and allows year-round filing. Chilean and Singaporean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Technology Business Partner candidates?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a technology, business, or engineering field, combined with experience bridging enterprise technology and client strategy. Consulting-adjacent backgrounds, program management credentials, and familiarity with cloud or digital transformation frameworks are valued. Prior experience in a client-facing or cross-functional technology role strengthens your application considerably.
How do I apply for Technology Business Partner jobs at Deloitte?
You can browse open Technology Business Partner roles at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm sponsorship before applying. Once you identify a role, applications go through Deloitte's careers portal. Tailoring your application to the specific industry practice area, rather than applying broadly, improves your chances of advancing to the interview stage.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Deloitte?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the process is tied to USCIS's annual cap cycle. Registration opens in March, selection is randomized, and approved petitions take effect October 1. To be on track, you'll want an offer in hand well before March. If you're transitioning from OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether a STEM extension applies to bridge the gap.
