Frame your degree as specialty occupation evidence
USCIS requires H-1B eligibility to hinge on a direct link between your degree field and the role. For Technical Solutions Consultant positions, a bachelor's in computer science, information systems, or engineering carries the clearest line. Ambiguous fields invite RFEs.
Target Deloitte's sector-aligned consulting practices
Deloitte structures hiring around industry verticals like financial services, government, and life sciences. Applying to a practice that matches your domain experience positions you as a closer fit and signals you can contribute to client delivery from day one.
Distinguish implementation skills from advisory in interviews
Deloitte evaluates Technical Solutions Consultants on both client-facing communication and hands-on delivery. Interviewers specifically probe whether you can configure and deploy solutions, not just recommend them. Prepare concrete examples of technical implementations you've led end-to-end.
Ask about visa filing timelines during offer negotiation
H-1B cap-subject filings must be submitted in April for an October 1 start. If your offer arrives outside that window, ask your recruiter whether Deloitte can structure a cap-exempt arrangement or support an alternative category like E-3 or H-1B1 while you wait.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Technical Solutions Consultant roles
Deloitte posts across multiple job boards and the openings move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Technical Solutions Consultant positions at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to verified opportunities rather than guessing at sponsorship eligibility.
Understand how PERM shapes green card timing at large firms
Deloitte sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards through PERM labor certification filed with DOL. The process requires demonstrating no qualified U.S. workers are available for your role, so your technical specialization and documented experience directly affect how cleanly your case is built.

Find Technical Solutions Consultant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Solutions Consultants. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as computer science, information systems, or engineering. Deloitte files petitions through both the cap-subject lottery and, where applicable, cap-exempt arrangements depending on the practice area and business unit involved.
How do I apply for Technical Solutions Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to find verified Technical Solutions Consultant openings at Deloitte that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific practice area, highlight technical implementation experience alongside consulting skills, and be prepared for a multi-round process that typically includes a case interview, a technical assessment, and a behavioral round.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Technical Solutions Consultants?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most international candidates in this role. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and has a dedicated annual allocation. Citizens of Singapore and Chile may qualify for the H-1B1. For longer-term permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification filed with DOL.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Technical Solutions Consultant roles?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a closely related field. Beyond the degree, hiring managers prioritize hands-on experience with enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, or systems integration. Consulting communication skills matter as much as technical depth, since the role involves direct client engagement alongside implementation work.
How do I time my job search around Deloitte's visa sponsorship process?
If you need an H-1B, the cap filing window opens in March for an October 1 start date, so you'll want an offer in hand well before then. If you're on OPT, factor in USCIS processing times for the H-1B petition alongside your OPT expiration. For E-3 applicants, consulate appointment availability in Australia can add several weeks to your timeline, so confirm scheduling well before your target start date.
