Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Insurance roles at Arbella need to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, meaning your degree must directly relate to the position. Actuarial, risk management, and finance degrees hold up well. A general business degree supporting a specialized underwriting role may require additional documentation.
Target Arbella's technical insurance functions first
Roles in actuarial science, commercial lines underwriting, and claims analytics sit closer to the specialty occupation threshold that supports H-1B sponsorship. Applying to these functions rather than broad operations roles improves your chances of Arbella initiating a petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Arbella's open Insurance roles
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Insurance positions at Arbella Insurance Group that are open to visa sponsorship, saving you from applying blindly to roles the company isn't willing to sponsor.
Confirm sponsorship intent before your final interview round
Ask the recruiter directly whether the role is open to H-1B or TN sponsorship before the offer stage. Arbella operates in a regulated industry where role classifications matter, so getting clarity early avoids last-minute complications with your visa timeline.
Plan your OPT or CPT bridge into a sponsored role
If you're on F-1 OPT, Arbella can hire you without initiating a petition immediately. Use that window to demonstrate value in a technical insurance function, since employers are more willing to file an H-1B petition for a known contributor than a new hire.
Understand the H-1B cap timeline relative to your insurance start date
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer from Arbella in the spring or summer, work with their HR team early so the Labor Condition Application is filed with DOL before the USCIS registration window opens.

Does Arbella Insurance Group sponsor H-1B visas for Insurance roles?
Yes, Arbella Insurance Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Insurance positions. Sponsorship is most consistent for roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, such as actuarial analysis, underwriting, and risk management. If you're targeting a specific role, confirm sponsorship eligibility with the recruiter early in the process, since not every Insurance position will qualify.
How do I apply for Insurance jobs at Arbella Insurance Group?
You can search for open Insurance positions directly on Arbella's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles open to visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect technical insurance skills relevant to the specific function, such as underwriting, claims, or actuarial work, since Arbella evaluates candidates against defined role competencies.
Which visa types does Arbella Insurance Group commonly use for Insurance roles?
Arbella Insurance Group has sponsored candidates under H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa categories for Insurance roles. H-1B is the primary long-term sponsorship path. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT and CPT allow students to work while their status transitions toward employer-sponsored visa petitions.
What qualifications does Arbella Insurance Group expect for Insurance roles?
Arbella generally looks for candidates with degrees in actuarial science, finance, risk management, mathematics, or a directly related field for technical Insurance positions. For roles supporting H-1B sponsorship, your degree must align with the specific job duties to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation standards. Industry designations like CPCU or actuarial exam progress can strengthen your application considerably.
How do I time my application if I need visa sponsorship for an Insurance role at Arbella?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Arbella must file your petition in April for an October 1 start, so aim to secure an offer by February or March at the latest. If you're on OPT, you can start sooner and use that period to build toward a sponsored petition. Confirm timelines with HR once you reach the offer stage, since the Labor Condition Application with DOL must be approved before USCIS filing.
