Align your credentials to U.S. electrical standards
Arcadis works on infrastructure projects governed by NEC and OSHA standards. Before applying, verify your overseas qualifications translate clearly to U.S. requirements, and gather documentation showing licensed or certified electrical work to strengthen your petition.
Target Arcadis project sites, not just headquarters
Arcadis staffs Electricians regionally based on active contracts. Search by project location rather than corporate office to find postings closer to where actual hiring decisions are made, which can shorten the offer timeline significantly.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Arcadis sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT. Knowing which category fits your background before interviews lets you frame the sponsorship conversation clearly and avoid delays caused by mismatched expectations late in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Arcadis Electrician openings
Not every Arcadis listing on general job boards specifies visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate filters postings by verified sponsorship history, so you spend time only on roles where Arcadis has demonstrated willingness to file for international candidates.
Prepare for the PERM process if pursuing permanent residency
For EB-2 or EB-3 green card pathways, DOL requires Arcadis to run a PERM labor certification. Understanding that this process can take a year or more before USCIS filing helps you negotiate realistic timelines with your hiring manager upfront.
Address prevailing wage requirements proactively in negotiations
DOL prevailing wage rules apply to all sponsored Electrician roles. Researching the wage level for your specific job duties and work location before salary discussions ensures your offer meets the threshold required to complete the H-1B or PERM filing without amendments.

Find Electrician at Arcadis JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Electricians?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Electrician roles. As a consulting and infrastructure firm operating across the U.S., Arcadis has an established track record of filing for technical and trades positions. Your role will need to qualify as a specialty occupation, so your application documentation should clearly connect your degree or equivalent credentials to the specific electrical duties in the job description.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at Arcadis?
Apply directly through the Arcadis careers portal, where you can filter by job function and location. Because not every posting clearly states visa sponsorship availability, browsing through Migrate Mate lets you identify Arcadis Electrician openings where international candidates have historically been sponsored, so your applications are better targeted from the start.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Electrician roles?
Arcadis sponsors a range of visa categories for Electricians, including H-1B, H-1B1, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 for permanent residency pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, education level, and whether you're seeking temporary work authorization or a longer-term immigration path.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for sponsored Electrician positions?
Arcadis typically looks for candidates with a relevant degree or formal technical certification in electrical engineering or a closely related field, alongside hands-on experience with infrastructure or industrial electrical systems. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, so your credentials should directly support the specific duties listed rather than reflecting general trades experience alone.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Arcadis as an Electrician?
Timelines vary by visa type. H-1B standard processing through USCIS currently takes several months, with premium processing available to reduce that to roughly 15 business days. TN visas for Canadians can be obtained at the border on the same day. PERM labor certification for Green Card pathways typically takes 12 to 18 months before the USCIS petition stage even begins, so planning early matters.
