Bryn Mawr College is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, benefit-eligible, Director for Student Integrity and Community Standards position. Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, the Director will play a pivotal role in fostering a values-centered, inclusive, and engaged campus community in a residential liberal arts environment. Rooted in the institution's commitment to student empowerment and holistic education, this position bridges the College Honor Code, which addresses both academic and social settings, and matters that arise which may be beyond the scope of the Honor Code.
Key responsibilities of this position include working with students and all members of the campus community to clarify student rights and responsibilities within the Honor Code as well as to create or clarify processes and procedures for behaviors that are alleged to rise to a level beyond the scope of the Honor Code. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring law and policy issues related to higher education law, regulatory guidance, and institutional policy and assessing need for updates, education, training, process/procedure revisions to ensure the College’s processes remain fair, transparent, educationally grounded and compliant with applicable laws and best practices.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong skill set to support students as they navigate challenges, deepen their self-awareness, and grow into ethically grounded leaders.

Characteristic Responsibilities:
Student Conduct & Community Standards
- Serve as a primary conduct officer and advisor to the student-led Honor Board.
- Ensure campus-wide clarity about processes used to address matters regarding alleged violations of the Honor Code and/or College Policies.
- Create opportunities (e.g., programs, events, activities, workshops) for all members of the campus community.
- Spearhead annual and additional periodic training and education of students, faculty, and staff with panel members.
- Administer Honor Board and Dean's Panel cases through a developmental and restorative lens, with attention to identity, equity, and student voice.
- Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to support a learning-centered approach to behavioral responsibility and accountability.
- Review or create policies, processes, and procedures related to conduct processes for matters outside the scope of the Honor Board.
- Develop and implement reflective and educational sanctioning models that connect conduct issues with personal growth and community impact.
- Provide outreach, training, and education regarding student expectations, rights and responsibilities within the Honor Code regarding student conduct, restorative justice, and conflict transformation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., students, faculty, and staff) to create and implement educational opportunities to increase student capacity and comfort level with positive confrontation.
- Work closely with entities such as Residence Life and Housing, Campus Safety, and Title IX Coordinator.
Leadership Development
- In collaboration with Honor Board Co-Chairs or designee(s), plan and implement educational initiatives to ensure students understand their rights and responsibilities within the Honor Code.
- Provide outreach, training, and education to build capacity and confidence among students to fulfill their obligations to the Honor Code.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and lead leadership development programs rooted in justice-oriented frameworks.
- Facilitate workshops, retreats, and cohort-based learning experiences for emerging leaders, student organizations, and residential communities regarding these processes.
- Promote leadership as a practice of self-authorship, relationship-building, and social change.
- Mentor and advise student leaders, leadership fellows, and or peer facilitators.
Community Engagement & Institutional Support
- Participate in divisional and College initiatives and committees focused on student thriving, retention, and engagement.
- Contribute to ongoing assessment and strategic planning within Student Life.
- Serve as a visible, accessible presence within the campus community.
- Serve as an administrator on-call rotation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of institution, division, and department mission.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field required.
- Minimum six years’ experience in student conduct, leadership development, or a closely related area.
- Working knowledge of student development theory, restorative justice, and inclusive leadership models.
- Experience working with college-aged women and/or gender-diverse students in identity-affirming and strengths-based ways.
- Demonstrated experience with leading collaborative efforts among multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong relational, facilitation, and crisis response skills.
- Experience writing policies and procedures.
- Experience advising student organizations or groups.
- Familiarity with liberal arts education and residential community life, preferred.
- Successful completion of satisfactory background checks.
