Align your degree to the role
Cambridge Mobile Telematics Engineering roles typically require a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. USCIS requires the degree field to match the specialty occupation, so a mismatch can trigger a Request for Evidence even if your experience is strong.
Target roles matching your OPT timeline
If you're on F-1 OPT, identify whether a role's start date aligns with your remaining authorization window. Cambridge Mobile Telematics has sponsored both OPT and CPT, so flagging your current status early in the process helps the recruiting team plan accordingly.
Research their telematics tech stack before applying
Cambridge Mobile Telematics builds mobile SDK, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning pipelines for driving behavior analysis. Tailoring your resume and interviews to those specific systems, rather than generic software engineering experience, signals you understand the product domain and reduces time-to-hire friction.
Clarify the H-1B cap timing with your recruiter
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a lottery registration window in March. If you're not cap-exempt, confirm with the recruiting team that your offer timeline allows USCIS registration before that window closes, or discuss a cap-exempt bridge option if one applies.
Browse open Engineering roles on Migrate Mate
Cambridge Mobile Telematics posts Engineering positions across multiple levels and specializations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for open roles at the company that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than negotiating it after an offer.
Prepare your PERM documentation early for green card pathways
Cambridge Mobile Telematics has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for Engineering staff. If permanent residency is your goal, ask during the offer stage whether the company initiates PERM after a defined tenure, and gather your foreign degree evaluation and employment records now to avoid delays when the process starts.

Find Engineering at Cambridge Mobile Telematics JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cambridge Mobile Telematics sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Cambridge Mobile Telematics sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for technical staff across software, data, and embedded systems positions. Because H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, timing your application around the March registration window is critical if you're not currently in a cap-exempt status.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Cambridge Mobile Telematics?
You can browse and apply for Engineering positions at Cambridge Mobile Telematics directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles at the company that include visa sponsorship. When applying, be specific about your work authorization status and the visa type you'll need so the recruiting team can assess sponsorship logistics from the first conversation.
Which visa types does Cambridge Mobile Telematics sponsor for Engineering roles?
Cambridge Mobile Telematics sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Engineering positions, and has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 green card pathways for longer-tenured engineers. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying engineering occupations under the USMCA. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree field, and where you are in your career stage.
What qualifications does Cambridge Mobile Telematics expect for Engineering roles?
Most Engineering roles at Cambridge Mobile Telematics require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a directly related technical field. USCIS defines specialty occupation as requiring at least a bachelor's in a specific discipline, so a general or unrelated degree can complicate sponsorship even with strong practical experience. Relevant work in mobile development, cloud platforms, or machine learning aligns well with their product focus.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Engineering offer at Cambridge Mobile Telematics?
For H-1B, plan for a minimum of several months from offer to work authorization if you're going through the annual lottery. OPT transfers are faster if you already have valid authorization. EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM typically takes one to several years depending on your country of birth and the DOL's current processing backlog. Clarifying your timeline with the company's HR team at the offer stage prevents surprises.
