Align your degree with food science roles
Daisy Brand's OPT-friendly roles concentrate in food science, chemical engineering, and supply chain operations. Before applying, confirm your degree field maps directly to the role description, a mismatch between your major and the job title is the fastest way to lose consideration at the offer stage.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting
STEM OPT's 24-month extension requires your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm Daisy Brand's specific facility location is enrolled, not just the parent company, since multi-site employers sometimes have gaps. Ask HR directly before signing anything, your extension eligibility depends on it.
Target manufacturing and R&D campus roles
Daisy Brand operates production facilities rather than a corporate headquarters model. Your strongest OPT opportunities are at its plant locations in states like Texas and Ohio, where food science and engineering graduates work directly on product quality, processing, and compliance teams with clearer H-1B transition paths.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm OPT hiring history
Before reaching out to Daisy Brand recruiters, use Migrate Mate to review the company's visa filing history by role and location. Knowing which job titles and facilities have supported international hires strengthens your targeting and helps you ask smarter questions during interviews.
Time your OPT application around graduation carefully
USCIS recommends filing your OPT EAD application 90 days before your program end date. Daisy Brand's hiring timelines in manufacturing can move quickly once an offer is extended, so having your EAD in hand or a confirmed receipt notice ready prevents offer delays that cost you the position.
Benchmark your salary using OFLC Wage Search
Before negotiating your offer, look up the prevailing wage for your target role and Daisy Brand's facility location using the OFLC Wage Search. Food manufacturing wages vary significantly by region, and entering negotiations knowing the DOL wage level puts you in a stronger position and signals professional preparation.
Daisy Brand OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Daisy Brand sponsor OPT visas?
Daisy Brand hires F-1 students who already hold an OPT EAD, employers don't sponsor OPT itself, since USCIS grants that authorization directly to you. What matters is whether Daisy Brand is willing to hire OPT workers and, for STEM roles, whether the facility is enrolled in E-Verify to support a 24-month STEM OPT extension.
Which departments at Daisy Brand typically hire OPT students?
OPT students at Daisy Brand are most commonly placed in food science, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain roles tied to its manufacturing operations. Corporate functions like finance or marketing are less common entry points for OPT hires. Graduates with degrees in food science, chemical engineering, or industrial engineering align most closely with open positions.
How do I find OPT jobs at Daisy Brand through Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and employer filing history, so you can identify Daisy Brand openings that have historically supported international candidates. Search by company name and filter for OPT-compatible roles to see which positions and locations are active, then apply directly with your EAD or pending receipt notice ready.
How do I know if Daisy Brand will support my STEM OPT extension?
STEM OPT requires your employer to be registered in E-Verify and to sign a formal training plan with your DSO. Ask Daisy Brand's HR team specifically whether the facility where you'll work is E-Verify enrolled before accepting an offer. Not every plant location may be enrolled, even if the company overall supports STEM extensions.
Does Daisy Brand sponsor H-1B visas after OPT?
Daisy Brand has a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas, and the OPT period is typically how employees demonstrate their value before the company commits to an H-1B petition. If you're targeting a long-term career in food manufacturing, confirm H-1B sponsorship intent with your hiring manager before your OPT period runs out.
How does Daisy Brand hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. Daisy Brand can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check Daisy Brand's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
