Align your degree to manufacturing engineering roles
Integrated Power Services prioritizes OPT students with degrees in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering. Cross-check your coursework against the role's technical requirements using O*NET occupation profiles so your application speaks directly to the skills their hiring teams screen for.
Verify your OPT EAD before applying
Your OPT EAD authorization dates must cover the position's start date before you apply. Integrated Power Services's onboarding team will confirm work authorization during the offer stage, and a start-date mismatch is one of the most common reasons offers stall in manufacturing hiring cycles.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment for STEM OPT eligibility
If your degree qualifies for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, confirm with your recruiter that Integrated Power Services is enrolled in E-Verify before accepting an offer. USCIS requires E-Verify participation from the employer as a condition of the extension, and not all facilities within large companies carry the same enrollment status.
Target operations and field engineering openings
Integrated Power Services's core business involves electrical motor and transformer services, so openings in field engineering, reliability, and plant operations tend to have the clearest technical fit for OPT students. Applying to roles outside that core, like corporate functions, makes the OPT-to-H-1B transition harder to negotiate later.
Ask about H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage
Integrated Power Services sponsors H-1B visas, which matters if you plan to stay beyond your OPT window. Raise the question directly with HR once you have a verbal offer, not after signing, so you know exactly what the company's H-1B sponsorship process looks like before you commit.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified OPT-hiring employers
Filter your job search to manufacturing companies with confirmed H-1B and OPT hiring history before applying broadly. Migrate Mate surfaces that employer filing data so you spend your limited OPT window targeting companies like Integrated Power Services that have a real track record of supporting international students through the work authorization process.
Integrated Power Services OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor OPT visas?
Integrated Power Services hires F-1 students who already hold a valid OPT EAD, meaning your work authorization comes from USCIS, not from the company. What Integrated Power Services does offer is a hiring environment that accommodates OPT students in engineering and operations roles, along with H-1B sponsorship for employees who transition beyond their OPT period.
Which roles at Integrated Power Services typically hire OPT students?
OPT students most commonly land roles in electrical and mechanical engineering, field service, reliability engineering, and operations at Integrated Power Services. These positions align closely with the company's core power and industrial services work, making them the strongest fit for F-1 students with engineering or applied technical degrees who need clear specialty occupation alignment for a future H-1B filing.
How do I confirm whether Integrated Power Services is enrolled in E-Verify?
Ask your recruiter or HR contact directly whether the specific hiring location is enrolled in E-Verify, since large companies with multiple facilities sometimes have uneven enrollment across sites. USCIS requires your employer to be E-Verify-enrolled as a condition of the 24-month STEM OPT extension, so confirming this before you accept an offer protects your ability to extend your authorization.
How do I find open OPT-compatible jobs at Integrated Power Services?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings to companies with verified H-1B and OPT hiring histories, including Integrated Power Services, so you can identify open roles where your EAD will be accepted and where H-1B sponsorship is a realistic next step. Searching by role type within manufacturing and power services narrows results to positions with the strongest specialty occupation fit.
How do I time my OPT application to match an offer from Integrated Power Services?
Apply for OPT through your DSO at least 90 days before your program end date, since USCIS processing can take several weeks. Once you have an offer, confirm with HR that your EAD start date falls on or before the position's start date. A gap between your authorization start and the role's first day is one of the most preventable reasons manufacturing offers fall through for F-1 students.
How does Integrated Power Services hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. Integrated Power Services can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check Integrated Power Services's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
