Target project controls and engineering roles
Mace Group's U.S. hiring is concentrated in project management, cost consulting, and engineering functions. These specialty occupation roles align directly with OPT authorization categories and carry the strongest case for eventual H-1B transition at the end of your OPT period.
Verify your degree matches the role
Construction management, civil engineering, and quantity surveying degrees map cleanly to Mace's core roles. Cross-reference your field of study against the role's requirements using O*NET to confirm your OPT authorization covers the position before you apply.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your STEM extension
If you hold a STEM-designated degree, your 24-month STEM OPT extension requires your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Ask Mace Group's HR team directly about E-Verify enrollment status before accepting an offer, so your extension isn't delayed at the 90-day mark.
Use Migrate Mate to check Mace's H-1B filing history
Before investing time in the application process, search Mace Group on Migrate Mate to review their H-1B LCA filing history by occupation. Employers who file consistently for construction and project management roles signal a genuine pathway beyond your initial OPT period.
Address your post-OPT pathway in interviews
Mace Group hiring managers in construction and consultancy roles will weigh whether your profile supports an H-1B petition when your OPT expires. Frame your degree, project experience, and long-term U.S. work goals clearly in interviews to show continuity of employment makes business sense.
Time your application around project start cycles
Mace Group typically staffs large infrastructure and real estate projects at defined mobilization points. Applying when a major project is entering execution phase, rather than at project close, increases the likelihood your OPT start date aligns with an active team headcount need.
Mace Group OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mace Group sponsor OPT visas?
Mace Group hires F-1 students who already hold an OPT EAD issued by USCIS. The company does not petition for OPT directly, as OPT authorization belongs to you, not your employer. What Mace Group does offer is employment in qualifying specialty occupation roles and, for eligible employees, H-1B sponsorship when the OPT period concludes.
Which roles at Mace Group are most likely to hire OPT students?
Mace Group's U.S. operations focus on project management, cost management, and construction consultancy. OPT students with degrees in civil engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying are the strongest fit. Corporate functions like finance and data analytics may also carry openings, though the volume is smaller than technical project delivery roles.
How do I confirm Mace Group supports the STEM OPT extension?
Ask HR or your recruiter directly whether Mace Group is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required by USCIS for any employer to support a 24-month STEM OPT extension. Get confirmation in writing before you accept an offer. You can also search Mace Group on Migrate Mate to review their visa filing history and assess employer intent.
What is the typical timeline from OPT hire to H-1B sponsorship at Mace Group?
Most OPT employees who transition to H-1B at construction and consultancy firms do so within their first or second H-1B lottery cycle. The H-1B cap registration window opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you're hired under OPT, align your performance reviews and internal sponsorship conversations well before the registration window opens.
How do I strengthen my application for OPT roles at Mace Group?
Tailor your resume to the specific project type Mace is delivering in your target city, whether infrastructure, commercial real estate, or data centers. Use O*NET to align your stated skills with the occupation's standard competency profile. Demonstrating familiarity with NEC or FIDIC contract environments, common in Mace's international project portfolio, differentiates your profile from other candidates.
How does Mace Group hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. Mace Group can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check Mace Group's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
