Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
Edwards Lifesciences typically sponsors H-1B visas for roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher, such as biomedical engineering, regulatory affairs, and clinical research. Applying to roles with a clear degree-to-job-function match significantly strengthens your petition.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline before you apply
Edwards Lifesciences files H-1B petitions subject to the annual April lottery. Align your job search so you have an offer in place well before March registration opens, giving your employer enough runway to prepare the petition.
Highlight medical device domain knowledge in your application
Edwards Lifesciences prioritizes candidates who understand FDA regulatory frameworks, Class III device requirements, or cardiovascular clinical workflows. Demonstrating industry-specific expertise makes you a stronger H-1B sponsorship candidate in their competitive talent pool.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early in the interview process
Not every open role at Edwards Lifesciences comes with H-1B sponsorship. Ask the recruiter directly during the first screen. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before investing time in an application.
Focus on departments with recurring H-1B sponsorship needs
Engineering, quality assurance, clinical affairs, and data analytics tend to have the most consistent H-1B sponsorship activity at medical device companies like Edwards Lifesciences. Targeting these functions increases the likelihood the role includes sponsorship as a standard offering.
Edwards Lifesciences H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Edwards Lifesciences sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Edwards Lifesciences sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles across its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is most common in technical and scientific functions, including engineering, regulatory affairs, clinical research, and data science. Not every open position includes sponsorship, so confirming with the recruiter early in the process is important.
Which roles and departments at Edwards Lifesciences are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Edwards Lifesciences is most consistent in roles that require a specialized degree tied directly to the job function. Biomedical engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, clinical scientists, quality engineers, and data analysts working on cardiovascular and critical care products are among the positions that have historically supported sponsorship.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Edwards Lifesciences?
Once Edwards Lifesciences extends an offer with sponsorship, their immigration team or outside counsel initiates the H-1B petition. The process includes a Labor Condition Application filed with the Department of Labor, followed by the USCIS petition. You'll provide educational credentials and employment documents. The employer manages the legal filing, but staying responsive to documentation requests speeds the process.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Edwards Lifesciences?
Timeline depends on the lottery outcome and whether the company opts for premium processing. Standard USCIS adjudication can take several months after the April lottery. Premium processing reduces the adjudication window significantly. If you're on OPT, cap-gap provisions may allow you to continue working while your petition is pending, so tracking your OPT expiration against the lottery calendar is essential.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Edwards Lifesciences that confirm sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, letting you search for verified H-1B sponsor companies like Edwards Lifesciences and filter to roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a role doesn't include sponsorship. Pairing that search with direct recruiter outreach gives you the clearest picture of available opportunities.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Edwards Lifesciences?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
