Target roles in quality and regulatory affairs
SGS's medical devices work centers on compliance, testing, and certification, areas that routinely require specialized credentials. Focus your applications on quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and laboratory roles, where sponsorship is most consistently supported.
Understand which visa types SGS actually sponsors
SGS sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), F-1 OPT, and TN visas. Knowing this before you apply lets you approach conversations with confidence and ask the right questions during the hiring process.
Use OPT as a foot in the door
SGS has sponsored F-1 OPT workers, which means entry-level roles can be a realistic starting point. Converting OPT to H-1B within the same organization is a well-established path at companies with an active sponsorship track record like SGS.
Canadian and Mexican professionals should highlight TN eligibility
SGS sponsors TN visas, which are faster and simpler than H-1B petitions for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals. If you're eligible, leading with your TN status can accelerate the hiring conversation significantly.
Search for verified open roles before outreach
Confirming that SGS is actively hiring in your field before reaching out saves time and improves your response rate. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find SGS openings in one place.
Align your application with SGS's certification and testing focus
SGS's medical devices work is heavily audit- and standards-driven. Applicants who can demonstrate familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, or similar frameworks stand out in a candidate pool where technical specificity matters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SGS sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, SGS sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established pattern of H-1B filings, particularly for technical and compliance-oriented roles within its medical devices and testing operations. If you're applying on H-1B, roles in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and laboratory services are the most likely candidates for sponsorship consideration.
Which visa types does SGS sponsor?
SGS sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This is a broader range than many employers at a similar sponsorship volume, which means international professionals at different career stages and from different countries have a realistic path at SGS, from early-career OPT holders to Green Card-track candidates.
Which departments or roles at SGS are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at SGS tends to concentrate in technical and compliance-heavy functions, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, laboratory testing, and inspection services. These roles require specialized knowledge that aligns with SGS's core medical devices work, making them the strongest targets for international applicants seeking sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at SGS?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find SGS roles that come with verified sponsorship history. Rather than filtering through general job listings without knowing a company's actual track record, Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for employers like SGS that have documented sponsorship across H-1B, Green Card, and other visa types.
How do I approach the SGS application process as an international candidate?
Apply to roles that match your technical background in medical devices, quality, or regulatory compliance, these are the functions where SGS has the strongest sponsorship history. Be upfront about your visa status early in the process. SGS's sponsorship of multiple visa categories suggests their HR teams have handled international hiring before, so a direct conversation about your timeline is usually productive.
