Job Roles at Progress Residential
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Progress Residential H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technology and data roles
Progress Residential's H-1B sponsorship tends to concentrate in software engineering, data analytics, and systems roles that support its large-scale property management platform. Prioritize applications to these departments over general business functions.
Confirm sponsorship before applying
Not every open role at Progress Residential comes with H-1B sponsorship. Check the job listing carefully for visa sponsorship language, and use Migrate Mate to filter for roles with verified sponsorship history before investing time in your application.
Understand the real estate tech stack
Progress Residential operates a technology-driven residential leasing model. Demonstrating familiarity with property management systems, real estate data platforms, or large-scale operational software will strengthen your case for sponsorship in technical roles.
Engage with recruiters early about sponsorship
Ask the recruiter directly whether the role includes H-1B sponsorship during the first conversation. Progress Residential's HR team handles immigration through an external law firm, so clarity early saves time if the position does not qualify.
Align your degree to the specialty occupation standard
H-1B approval at Progress Residential requires your offered role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Make sure your degree field directly corresponds to the job duties, particularly for finance, engineering, or technology positions in the real estate sector.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you are not already on an H-1B, Progress Residential must file during USCIS's annual registration window in March. Plan your job search accordingly and use Migrate Mate to identify open roles well before the registration period opens.

Does Progress Residential sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Progress Residential does sponsor H-1B visas, primarily for specialized roles in technology, data, and finance that support its residential property management operations. Sponsorship is not offered across all departments or job types, so candidates should verify sponsorship availability directly in the job listing before applying.
Which roles and departments at Progress Residential are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Progress Residential is most common in software engineering, data analytics, financial analysis, and technology infrastructure roles. Positions that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field are better candidates for specialty occupation approval. General operations or administrative roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Progress Residential?
Once Progress Residential extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, the company works with an immigration law firm to file the necessary Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide educational credentials, employment history, and any supporting documentation the attorney requests promptly.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Progress Residential?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find Progress Residential roles that include verified H-1B sponsorship. Filtering by confirmed sponsorship history saves time compared to scanning general job boards where sponsorship availability is often unclear or missing from the listing entirely.
What is the typical timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Progress Residential?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the process begins with USCIS registration in March, with an October 1 start date if selected. From offer acceptance to start date, the process typically spans six to eight months. If you already hold H-1B status with another employer, a transfer can move faster and is not subject to the cap.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Progress Residential?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
