Target roles with consistent sponsorship history
CBRE's sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in professional and technical roles within real estate services, project management, and corporate functions. Focus your applications on these areas rather than entry-level or operational positions less likely to receive visa support.
Understand that real estate hiring is market-driven
CBRE's hiring volumes shift with commercial real estate cycles. Sponsorship opportunities tend to expand during periods of market activity, so timing your job search with industry momentum can improve your chances of landing a role with visa support.
Know which visa types CBRE actively files
CBRE sponsors both temporary work visas and permanent residence pathways including Green Cards. If you're on F-1 OPT or a TN visa, CBRE has a track record of supporting transitions to longer-term status, which matters when evaluating long-term career fit.
Prepare for a structured hiring and sponsorship process
As a large global firm, CBRE routes immigration cases through established legal and HR workflows. Expect clear timelines but also structured processes, so engage early with recruiters about sponsorship to avoid late-stage surprises after offer negotiations.
Use a verified sponsor platform to find open roles
Not every CBRE job posting explicitly mentions visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify active CBRE listings where sponsorship is a realistic expectation before you apply.
Highlight cross-border or global real estate experience
CBRE operates across major international markets. If you have experience with cross-border transactions, global real estate advisory, or international project delivery, lead with that in your application, it aligns directly with what CBRE values in globally mobile talent.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CBRE sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, CBRE sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so across multiple years. Sponsorship tends to be concentrated in professional roles in real estate services, project management, finance, and technology functions. If you're targeting CBRE on an H-1B, focus on roles where specialized degree-level expertise is clearly required, as these are most likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards.
What visa types does CBRE sponsor?
CBRE sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, H-1B1 visa, TN visa, J-1 visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for early-career candidates. The company also supports permanent residence pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions. This breadth makes CBRE a viable employer across multiple stages of an international candidate's career in the U.S., from initial OPT authorization through long-term immigration.
Which roles at CBRE are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at CBRE is most common in professional and technical roles that require specialized education, such as commercial real estate advisory, financial analysis, project management, engineering, and data or technology functions. Corporate and support roles in legal, HR, or marketing may also receive sponsorship, though less consistently. Roles that are primarily operational or do not require a specific degree field are less likely candidates for H-1B or Green Card support.
How do I find visa-sponsored jobs at CBRE?
CBRE posts open roles through its careers site, but job listings don't always specify whether sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate lets you filter for CBRE openings using verified sponsorship data, so you can identify roles where the company has a real history of filing visas rather than relying on what a job description says. This saves time and focuses your effort on applications where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
How do I approach the CBRE application process as an international candidate?
Raise your visa status early in the process, ideally in the first recruiter conversation, so there are no surprises after an offer is extended. CBRE handles sponsorship through structured internal processes, so the earlier immigration is part of the conversation, the smoother the timeline. If you're on OPT with a cap-gap concern or approaching an H-1B lottery deadline, be specific about your timeline so hiring managers can plan accordingly.
