Frame Your PMP Around Real Estate Delivery
CBRE Program Manager roles often require experience managing multi-site construction or facilities programs. Certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 carry weight, but pairing them with examples from commercial real estate or infrastructure projects signals direct fit to hiring managers.
Target CBRE's Integrated Facility Management Division
CBRE's GWS and Project Management divisions generate steady Program Manager demand. Filtering open roles by these business lines focuses your search on teams with established onboarding pipelines and recurring sponsorship activity, rather than one-off project hires.
Clarify Sponsorship Eligibility Before Final Interviews
CBRE's recruiting process moves quickly once you clear early rounds. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility with your DSO before the offer stage so your employment start date and E-Verify requirements don't create a last-minute delay.
Understand the LCA Before Your Offer Is Countersigned
For H-1B sponsorship, CBRE's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting to USCIS. The LCA sets the prevailing wage for your specific work location, so confirm the role's site address is finalized before paperwork begins to avoid a refiling.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active CBRE Program Manager Openings
CBRE lists Program Manager roles across multiple U.S. markets simultaneously, and postings open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for CBRE Program Manager roles that support visa sponsorship, so you're not manually cross-referencing postings across regions.
Prepare a Portfolio Demonstrating Scope and Scale
CBRE's enterprise clients expect Program Managers to handle multi-million-dollar construction budgets and cross-functional stakeholder groups. Before your interview, prepare a concise portfolio showing program scope, team size, and measurable outcomes from past real estate or construction engagements.

Does CBRE sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, CBRE sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions across its project management and facilities divisions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every opening, so confirming visa support directly with the recruiter during early conversations is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types does CBRE commonly use for Program Manager roles?
CBRE supports several visa categories for Program Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 for exchange visitors. For longer-term employment, CBRE also sponsors Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based petitions.
What qualifications does CBRE expect for a sponsored Program Manager position?
CBRE typically looks for a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, real estate, or a related field, often supported by project management certifications such as PMP. Hands-on experience managing large-scale commercial real estate, facilities, or capital improvement programs carries significant weight. Roles in the GWS division may also require client-facing account management experience.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at CBRE?
You can search for open Program Manager roles through CBRE's careers portal or browse sponsorship-verified listings through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions actively open to visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect program scale and real estate context. Follow up with the recruiter to confirm visa support before advancing past the initial screening stage.
How do I plan my timeline if CBRE is sponsoring my H-1B petition?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS opening registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, CBRE's legal team will coordinate the I-129 filing. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration and any STEM extension window so your authorized work period bridges the gap without interruption.
