Frame Your PMP Around Construction Delivery
Clayco runs design-build projects at significant scale, so tailor your resume to show experience managing integrated project teams across design, procurement, and construction phases. A PMP certification or equivalent is a strong differentiator for this specific function.
Target Roles Tied to Active Project Pipelines
Program Manager openings at Clayco often align with incoming project awards in sectors like advanced manufacturing, data centers, and mixed-use development. Applying when Clayco announces a major contract win increases your chances of landing a role with an immediate sponsorship need.
Clarify Your OPT or CPT Timeline Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, be upfront about your authorization end date in initial conversations. Clayco has sponsored candidates through the H-1B cap, but the April lottery filing window is fixed, so your start date and OPT expiration need to align for the transition to work.
Understand How H-1B Specialty Occupation Applies Here
USCIS requires Program Manager roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning the position must routinely require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like construction management or engineering. Make sure your background clearly supports that threshold before your employer files the petition.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles
Program Manager positions at Clayco are posted across multiple locations and project types and can be easy to miss. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Clayco openings that align with your visa type so you're applying to roles with active sponsorship potential.
Request a Realistic PERM Timeline If Pursuing a Green Card
Clayco has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for construction management roles. If permanent residency is your goal, ask your hiring contact directly whether the Program Manager position is eligible for PERM sponsorship, since DOL's labor certification process adds 12 to 24 months before I-140 filing.

Find Program Manager at Clayco JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Clayco sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Clayco has a demonstrated history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines given the degree requirements in construction management, engineering, or a related field. If you're on OPT, Clayco has shown willingness to support the H-1B cap-subject petition through the annual April lottery window.
What visa types does Clayco commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Clayco sponsors a range of visa categories for Program Manager positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for students transitioning into full-time roles, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering occupations, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for candidates pursuing permanent residency through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Clayco expect for Program Manager positions?
Clayco typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on experience managing large-scale, multi-phase construction or real estate development projects. Familiarity with design-build delivery models is a strong advantage. Program management credentials such as a PMP, along with demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams across design, procurement, and field operations, will strengthen your application.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Clayco?
You can apply directly through Clayco's careers page, but if you need visa sponsorship it helps to filter for roles that match your work authorization type before applying. Migrate Mate lets you search Clayco's open Program Manager positions filtered by visa category, so you can identify the right openings without manually reviewing each listing. When you apply, be clear about your current visa status and intended sponsorship need from the outset.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Clayco to sponsor my visa?
The timeline depends on your current status. For H-1B cap-subject sponsorship, your employer must file by the April 1 deadline for an October 1 start date, giving you roughly six months between offer and authorization. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm that your expiration date gives enough runway to cover that gap. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, factor in an additional 12 to 24 months for DOL labor certification before USCIS receives the I-140 petition.
