How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Zillow Visa Sponsorship USA
Target Zillow's engineering and data teams first
Zillow's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles, software engineering, data science, and machine learning. If your background is in these areas, you're applying to the part of the company with the strongest sponsorship history.
Canadian and Mexican candidates should ask about TN visa eligibility
Zillow sponsors TN visas, which are faster and simpler than H-1B for eligible candidates. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national in a qualifying role like software engineer or business analyst, this pathway is worth raising directly with the recruiter.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for Zillow roles with verified sponsorship history
Not every job posting makes sponsorship eligibility clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Zillow roles where international candidates have been successfully sponsored before.
Frame your proptech or real estate domain knowledge as a differentiator
Zillow operates at the intersection of technology and real estate. Candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with proptech, real estate marketplaces, or housing data stand out, and give hiring managers a stronger internal case for sponsorship approval.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zillow sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Zillow sponsors H-1B visas. The company is an active H-1B sponsor, primarily for technical roles in software engineering, data science, and product development. If you're on a current H-1B or need initial sponsorship, it's worth confirming with the recruiter early in the process whether your specific role qualifies.
Which visa types does Zillow sponsor?
Zillow sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 for temporary work authorization, as well as Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 for permanent residence. The breadth of visa types supported makes Zillow one of the more internationally accessible employers in the real estate technology sector.
Which departments or roles at Zillow are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Zillow is most common in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management, roles where the company competes for highly specialized talent. Research, analytics, and certain finance roles have also seen sponsorship activity. Positions in sales, real estate operations, or generalist business roles are less likely to qualify, as sponsorship is typically tied to roles requiring advanced technical degrees.
How do I find open jobs at Zillow that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which aggregates roles from verified sponsors like Zillow and lets you filter specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. This saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available, and lets you focus your effort on opportunities where international candidates have a genuine chance.
How do I approach the application timeline at Zillow as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Start your application as early as possible, particularly if you're on OPT with a deadline approaching or need H-1B cap sponsorship by the April filing window. Zillow's recruiting process for technical roles typically involves several interview rounds, so give yourself at least two to three months of lead time. Mention your visa status early, recruiters at active sponsors like Zillow are accustomed to these conversations and can loop in HR or immigration counsel quickly.
