Align your background with Hill's core project services
Hill International's sponsored roles tend to sit in construction management, project controls, and engineering. Tailoring your resume to reflect hands-on project delivery experience, not just technical skills, will resonate with their hiring teams and immigration investment.
Target roles early in the H-1B petition cycle
Hill International sponsors H-1B visas, so timing matters. Applications filed well before the April lottery window give the company time to build your petition properly. Reach out to Hill's talent team in January or February for the strongest shot.
Look for project-based roles in active U.S. markets
Construction management hiring often tracks major infrastructure cycles. Hill's U.S. sponsorship activity reflects demand for project professionals in active markets. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find open roles at Hill.
Use Hill's Green Card track record as a long-term signal
Hill has sponsored Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which signals they're willing to invest in long-term retention of international staff. When interviewing, it's reasonable to ask about their PERM and permanent residence support process.
Lead with licensure or international project credentials
Hill International works on technically complex projects where credentials matter. If you hold PE licensure, PMP certification, or have managed major infrastructure internationally, lead with that. Credentialed candidates are far easier to sponsor under specialty occupation standards.

Find Hill International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hill International sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hill International sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for roles in construction management, project controls, and engineering. If you're targeting Hill on an H-1B, focus on specialty occupation-aligned roles and engage their recruiting team well before the annual April lottery registration window.
Which visa types does Hill International sponsor?
Hill International sponsors H-1B and TN visas for work authorization, as well as Green Card pathways through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible to recent international graduates. Sponsorship is concentrated in technical and project management disciplines across their U.S. operations.
What departments or roles at Hill International are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Hill International is concentrated in roles that map cleanly to specialty occupation standards: construction managers, project controls specialists, cost engineers, schedulers, and civil or structural engineers. Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree in a technical field are the strongest fit. Administrative or generalist positions are less commonly sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Hill International?
Migrate Mate lists open roles at verified visa sponsors, including Hill International, filtered by sponsorship history and visa type. This saves time compared to manually checking job postings that don't disclose sponsorship status. Search for Hill International directly on Migrate Mate to see current openings aligned with their documented sponsorship track record.
How do I approach the application process at Hill International as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status and target roles where your degree directly matches the job requirements, since that's the foundation of any H-1B specialty occupation argument. Apply several months before the H-1B lottery if that's your pathway, and ask during the interview process whether Hill works with outside immigration counsel, which most active sponsors do.
