Verify your licensure transfers across states
California requires an LCSW or ASW registration for most clinical social work roles. Before applying, confirm your credentials meet California BBS standards, since HealthRIGHT 360 operates exclusively in California and won't sponsor a role you can't legally fill.
Target programs with chronic staffing gaps
HealthRIGHT 360's reentry, harm reduction, and SUD treatment programs consistently recruit social workers. Focusing your application on these high-need service lines increases your chances of landing a role where the hiring manager has real urgency to fill the position.
Align your OPT start date with their hiring cycle
F-1 OPT allows up to 12 months of work authorization, and USCIS recommends filing at least 90 days before your program end date. Time your application so your OPT approval lands before HealthRIGHT 360's typical onboarding window, which often follows contract cycles.
Confirm the role qualifies under TN Social Worker category
TN status covers social workers for Canadian and Mexican nationals, but the role must require a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree. Review the job description carefully, since case aide or paraprofessional titles at HealthRIGHT 360 may not meet DOL's TN occupational definition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
HealthRIGHT 360 posts Social Work roles across multiple programs simultaneously. Search Migrate Mate to filter active openings by the visa types the company sponsors, so you're applying to positions that already have a sponsorship pathway confirmed.

Does HealthRIGHT 360 sponsor H-1B visas for Social Workers?
Yes, HealthRIGHT 360 has sponsored H-1B visas for Social Work roles. Because social work positions typically require a specific degree and state licensure, they generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria. Sponsorship decisions are made role by role, so confirm eligibility directly with the hiring team during the interview process before expecting an offer to include H-1B support.
How do I apply for Social Work jobs at HealthRIGHT 360?
Browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which lists HealthRIGHT 360's Social Work positions filtered by visa sponsorship type. Applications go through HealthRIGHT 360's own careers portal. Tailor your materials to the specific program area, whether that's substance use treatment, mental health, or reentry services, since each team has distinct clinical priorities and caseload expectations.
Which visa types does HealthRIGHT 360 sponsor for Social Work roles?
HealthRIGHT 360 sponsors H-1B visas and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible Social Work candidates. TN status is also a recognized pathway for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying social worker roles. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and licensure status, so review each option against the specific job description before applying.
What qualifications does HealthRIGHT 360 expect for Social Work positions?
Most licensed clinical roles require an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and active California licensure, typically an LCSW or ASW registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Experience in harm reduction, SUD treatment, or justice-involved populations is frequently listed in job postings. Case management experience and bilingual ability, especially in Spanish, can strengthen your candidacy for community-based roles.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take for a Social Work role at HealthRIGHT 360?
Standard H-1B processing through USCIS takes four to six months from petition filing. As a nonprofit healthcare employer, HealthRIGHT 360 may be eligible to file cap-exempt H-1B petitions, which bypass the annual lottery and allow filings year-round. Confirm cap-exempt eligibility early with the HR team, since it significantly affects your timeline and removes lottery uncertainty from the process.
