Verify your license before applying
California requires an active RN license from the Board of Registered Nursing before any employer can extend an offer. If you're on F-1 OPT, start the licensing process early since delays can eat into your employment authorization window.
Target community health nursing openings
HealthRIGHT 360's nursing roles span harm reduction, primary care, and behavioral health clinics. Roles in these specialty settings are harder to fill domestically, which makes them more likely to move forward with visa sponsorship than general hospital positions.
Confirm TN eligibility for Canadian and Mexican nurses
TN status for nurses requires a baccalaureate degree in nursing, not just an active license. If your degree is from outside North America, you'll need a credential evaluation before a TN can be processed at the border or through USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to find active nursing postings
Not every HealthRIGHT 360 nursing opening is easy to track across job boards. Migrate Mate filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers, so you can find current roles at HealthRIGHT 360 that are open to sponsored candidates without sorting through listings manually.
Address your immigration timeline in the offer stage
Once you have an offer, ask HR directly whether they've filed H-1B or TN paperwork before and what their process looks like. HealthRIGHT 360 is a nonprofit, which means they qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filing and can petition outside the annual lottery.
Prepare NCLEX and credential documentation in advance
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires evidence that the role is a specialty occupation. Having your NCLEX results, foreign credential evaluation, and degree transcripts ready speeds up the I-129 petition and reduces back-and-forth with HR during the filing process.

Does HealthRIGHT 360 sponsor H-1B visas for Nurses?
Yes, HealthRIGHT 360 has sponsored H-1B visas for nursing roles. As a nonprofit healthcare organization, HealthRIGHT 360 qualifies as a cap-exempt H-1B employer, meaning they can file petitions with USCIS at any time of year without waiting for the annual lottery. This is a meaningful advantage if you missed the H-1B cap or need to start sooner.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at HealthRIGHT 360?
You can find and apply for nursing roles at HealthRIGHT 360 through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. Applications typically require an active California RN license, your resume, and confirmation of your work authorization status. Reaching out to HealthRIGHT 360's HR team directly after applying can help clarify their sponsorship process for your specific visa type.
Which visa types does HealthRIGHT 360 commonly use for Nursing roles?
HealthRIGHT 360 has supported H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa holders in nursing positions. H-1B is the most common long-term sponsorship path for nurses. OPT and CPT work well for nurses completing U.S. nursing programs who want to gain experience before transitioning to H-1B. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nurses who hold a qualifying baccalaureate degree.
What qualifications does HealthRIGHT 360 expect for Nursing roles?
Most nursing positions at HealthRIGHT 360 require an active California RN license and a bachelor's degree in nursing. Roles in behavioral health, substance use, or harm reduction settings often favor candidates with relevant clinical experience in those populations. For foreign-trained nurses, a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator is typically required to confirm degree equivalency for both licensing and visa purposes.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
If your F-1 OPT is running out, apply as early as possible since H-1B cap-exempt petitions at nonprofits like HealthRIGHT 360 can still take two to four months for USCIS to process without premium processing. For TN holders, status can be renewed at the border or through USCIS, but you'll need a current employer support letter and offer confirmation before making that trip.
