Verify Your Credentials Transfer to U.S. Standards
Foreign nursing credentials require evaluation through a NCSBN-recognized body before a U.S. employer can file sponsorship paperwork. Get your credential evaluation completed before applying so Chewy's HR team isn't waiting on a prerequisite you haven't started.
Target Chewy's Corporate Health Services Openings
Chewy's nursing hires tend to sit within occupational health and employee wellness functions at fulfillment centers, not clinical patient care. Filtering for those specific job families surfaces the roles most likely to come with sponsorship support.
Confirm OPT STEM Extension Eligibility Early
Nursing roles at Chewy may not fall under a STEM-designated CIP code, which affects whether your F-1 OPT extends to 24 additional months. Verify your program's classification with your DSO before counting on that runway when negotiating a start date.
Understand the PERM Timeline Before Accepting an Offer
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship for nursing roles requires the employer to complete PERM labor certification through DOL before filing an immigrant petition. That process alone can take a year or more, so align your H-1B status or grace period accordingly before signing.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Chewy Nursing Openings
Sponsorship-eligible nursing roles at Chewy aren't always labeled as such on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Chewy's open positions by visa type so you're applying to roles the company has already shown willingness to sponsor.
Get TN Status Documented Correctly at the Border
Canadian and Mexican nurses qualifying under the TN category must present a signed Chewy offer letter specifying the professional capacity at the port of entry. A vague job title or scope description in the letter is the most common reason TN admission is delayed or refused.

Find Nursing at Chewy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Chewy sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, Chewy sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Nursing roles, particularly positions tied to occupational health and employee wellness at its facilities. Because H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, you'll want to confirm your specific position and degree field align before Chewy initiates the filing with USCIS.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Chewy?
Apply directly through Chewy's careers portal, targeting occupational health nurse or employee health roles at its fulfillment centers and corporate locations. You can also browse Chewy's sponsorship-eligible Nursing openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't support your immigration status.
Which visa types does Chewy commonly use for Nursing roles?
Chewy has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Nursing positions. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nurses who qualify under the USMCA professional category. EB-2 and EB-3 require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications does Chewy expect for sponsored Nursing roles?
Chewy typically looks for a registered nurse license valid in the relevant U.S. state, a relevant nursing degree, and experience in occupational health, workplace injury management, or employee wellness settings. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must directly correlate to the specific nursing function in the role, which USCIS evaluates during the petition review.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Nursing role at Chewy?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. H-1B standard processing through USCIS takes roughly three to six months, with premium processing available for a faster decision. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM and DOL can take one to two years before an immigrant visa becomes available, not including any priority date backlogs that apply to your country of birth.
