Frame your retail sales experience precisely
Chewy hires for both pet specialty retail and wholesale account roles. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes in category management, client retention, or B2B account growth rather than listing generic sales duties.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your first interview
Chewy participates in E-Verify, which means your work authorization gets verified electronically after an offer. Knowing this upfront lets you prepare your documentation and avoid delays once the offer stage arrives.
Target Sales roles tied to Chewy's growth verticals
Chewy has expanded into vet services and private-label products alongside its core e-commerce business. Sales roles supporting these verticals tend to require specialized knowledge, which can strengthen a specialty occupation argument for H-1B sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Sales positions at Chewy
Not all Chewy Sales postings are visible on general job boards. Migrate Mate filters specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed, so you're applying to positions where the conversation is already open.
Start OPT early if you're on F-1 status
USCIS recommends filing for OPT authorization up to 90 days before your program end date. For Sales roles at Chewy, having your Employment Authorization Document ready before your final interview round avoids stalling an offer.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Chewy sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B and TN, but not every Sales role qualifies equally. Before signing, confirm with HR whether the position supports the specific visa category you need and whether PERM-based Green Card sponsorship is on the table.

Does Chewy sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Chewy has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales positions. The key requirement is that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, meaning it typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Not every Sales title will meet this threshold, so confirming the specific role's qualifications with the hiring team before investing in the process is important.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Chewy?
You can search for open Sales positions directly on Chewy's careers page, but many postings don't explicitly state visa sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate aggregates Chewy's Sales roles and filters for positions where sponsorship has been confirmed, which saves time if immigration support is a requirement for you. Once you identify a role, apply through Chewy's official application portal.
Which visa types does Chewy commonly use for Sales hires?
Chewy sponsors a range of visa categories for Sales roles, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), and F-1 OPT and CPT for current students or recent graduates. For longer-term employment, Chewy has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process, though Green Card sponsorship timelines depend on the individual role and the employee's priority date.
What qualifications does Chewy expect for Sales roles requiring visa sponsorship?
Chewy's Sales positions that support visa sponsorship generally require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a closely related field. For B2B or enterprise-level roles, prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or pet industry accounts strengthens your candidacy. Roles supporting Chewy's vet services or private-label verticals may require more specialized backgrounds, which also makes the specialty occupation determination for H-1B more straightforward.
How do I time my application around visa processing deadlines?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, the annual cap filing window opens in March for an October 1 start date, so aligning your job search and offer timeline to land several months before that window matters. For TN visa holders, status can be obtained at the border or port of entry, which makes transitions faster. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their EAD is active before a start date is set, since USCIS processing can run 90 days or more.
