Target technology and operations roles first
Huntington's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technology, data, and financial operations functions. Software engineers, data analysts, and risk professionals in these areas have the strongest alignment with the bank's documented sponsorship patterns.
Understand the H-1B and Green Card pathway
Huntington sponsors both H-1B visas and permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If long-term U.S. residence is your goal, ask recruiters directly whether the role has historically supported Green Card sponsorship beyond initial work authorization.
Research open roles on a verified sponsorship platform
Not every Huntington posting signals sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize applications to Huntington roles that have actually resulted in visa filings.
Prepare for a structured banking interview process
Huntington follows a formal, multi-stage hiring process typical of regional banks. Sponsorship conversations are usually handled by HR after an offer stage, so focus your interviews on technical and behavioral competencies before raising visa questions.
TN visa holders should confirm role eligibility early
Huntington sponsors TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, but TN eligibility depends on your specific role mapping to a qualifying USMCA profession. Confirm this with the recruiter before investing heavily in the application process.

Find Huntington National Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Huntington National Bank sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Huntington National Bank sponsors H-1B visas. The bank has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for roles in technology, data, and financial operations. Sponsorship decisions are role-specific, so candidates should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiting team during the hiring process.
What visa types does Huntington National Bank sponsor?
Huntington National Bank sponsors H-1B visas, Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, F-1 OPT for recent graduates, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. Green Card sponsorship represents a significant share of their overall activity, which is relatively uncommon among regional banks and reflects a longer-term commitment to retaining international employees.
Which departments or roles at Huntington National Bank are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Huntington is most common in technology-facing roles such as software engineering, data analytics, and cybersecurity, as well as quantitative and risk-focused positions within financial operations. Corporate functions like compliance and financial analysis have also seen sponsorship activity. Front-line retail banking roles are generally not sponsored.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at Huntington National Bank?
The most reliable approach is to search Huntington on Migrate Mate, which tracks real sponsorship filings and surfaces open roles at companies with verified sponsorship histories. This lets you distinguish between Huntington postings where sponsorship is realistic versus generic listings that may not support international candidates. Filtering by visa type helps narrow further.
How do I approach the application timeline at Huntington National Bank as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Huntington's hiring process typically spans several weeks from application to offer, following a structured format common to regional banks. If you're on F-1 OPT with a cap-gap concern, flag your timeline early with the recruiter. H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October start, so timing your offer and onboarding around that window is important for cap-subject applicants.
