INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to support and optimize cloud security operations across AWS and Azure environments. This role focuses on CNAPP (Wiz) engineering, vulnerability management, and cloud risk reduction.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Details
- Fully Remote (U.S.)
- 6–12+ Month Contract
- W2 Only (No C2C/Sub vendors)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CNAPP (Wiz) platform optimization across multi-cloud environments (AWS & Azure)
- Ensure full cloud visibility and security coverage (compute, containers, serverless, identity)
- Design and implement RBAC and least-privilege access models
- Drive risk prioritization and reduction of critical vulnerabilities
- Operationalize vulnerability management across VMs, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate with ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira) and automate remediation workflows
- Develop and maintain automated security and remediation processes
- Implement and tune cloud configuration governance and auto-remediation
- Analyze and reduce identity and access risks (CIEM)
- Build executive and operational dashboards for security posture and reporting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
- Strong experience with cloud security in AWS and/or Azure
- Hands-on experience with CNAPP tools (Wiz preferred)
- Expertise in vulnerability management and risk prioritization
- Experience with automation, scripting, and workflow integration
- Knowledge of identity security and least-privilege models
- Experience integrating security tools with ticketing/ITSM platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD security integrations
- Background in cloud governance and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with security dashboards and executive reporting
