Target Engineering and Technical Roles First
Graphic Packaging International's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines. Focus your search on engineering, process improvement, and operations roles, where the company's need for specialized skills most often supports visa sponsorship including H-1B and Green Card pathways.
Understand Their Multi-Visa Approach
The company sponsors several visa types including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and Green Card. Knowing which category fits your background before you apply lets you ask informed questions and signals to recruiters that you understand the process, not just that you need sponsorship.
Leverage OPT and CPT as a Starting Point
Graphic Packaging International sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, which means international students can enter through internships or post-graduation work authorization. A successful OPT placement is often the strongest foundation for a future H-1B petition with the same employer.
Research Their Plant and Corporate Locations
Graphic Packaging operates manufacturing facilities and corporate offices across the U.S. Roles at corporate headquarters or R&D centers tend to have stronger sponsorship infrastructure. Prioritizing those locations can improve your chances of landing a sponsored position in manufacturing.
Filter for Verified Sponsors Before Applying
Not every manufacturing company openly advertises sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter by verified sponsorship history so you can confirm Graphic Packaging International's track record before investing time in an application, rather than discovering late in the process that sponsorship isn't available.
Align Your Resume to Specialty Occupation Standards
For H-1B eligibility at a manufacturing company, your role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a degree in a specific field. Tailor your resume to emphasize the technical requirements of the job, not just your general experience, to support a strong petition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Graphic Packaging International sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Graphic Packaging International sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent history of petitioning for skilled workers in technical and engineering fields. Sponsorship is most common in roles that clearly meet the specialty occupation standard, so candidates with degrees in engineering, supply chain, or related disciplines are best positioned to qualify.
What visa types does Graphic Packaging International sponsor?
Graphic Packaging International sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), TN visa, J-1 visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT. This breadth makes the company accessible to international candidates at different career stages, from students completing degrees to experienced professionals pursuing permanent residence.
Which departments or roles at Graphic Packaging International are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Graphic Packaging International is most common in engineering, manufacturing operations, process improvement, and technical corporate functions. These roles typically require specific degree backgrounds that satisfy H-1B specialty occupation requirements. Candidates in general management or non-technical support functions may find sponsorship less readily available.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Graphic Packaging International?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find verified sponsored roles at Graphic Packaging International. The platform surfaces positions from companies with confirmed sponsorship histories, so you can filter specifically for this employer and see current openings without guessing whether sponsorship is actually on the table.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Graphic Packaging International for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer and onboarding around that window matters. If you're on OPT, coordinate your end date carefully. Engage with Graphic Packaging International recruiters early enough that there's sufficient lead time for the company to prepare the petition and LCA before the filing deadline.
