Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Manufacturing Jobs at Graphic Packaging International Jobs
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Manufacturing roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship must meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, meaning a specific bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field. A general manufacturing background without a relevant degree may not clear that bar.
Target plant and operations engineering openings specifically
Graphic Packaging International's sponsorship activity in manufacturing skews toward technical and engineering-adjacent roles. Process engineers, reliability engineers, and quality roles carry stronger sponsorship precedent than general production or supervisory positions.
Research facility locations before you apply
Graphic Packaging operates plants across multiple U.S. states. Sponsorship decisions are often made at the corporate level, but your reporting location affects LCA prevailing wage filings with DOL. Knowing which facilities are actively hiring strengthens your targeting.
Use Migrate Mate to filter manufacturing roles by visa type
Not every open manufacturing position at Graphic Packaging International is attached to a sponsorship pathway. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by the visa types the company sponsors so you're only applying to positions where your immigration status is already accounted for.
Get your OPT or STEM OPT timeline in order before applying
If you're on F-1 status, manufacturing roles at a company of this scale can qualify for STEM OPT extension, but the 90-day unemployment limit still applies during job searches. Have your EAD and I-20 current before you enter any offer negotiation.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage, not after
Once you receive an offer, confirm in writing that Graphic Packaging will file the I-129 petition and cover required USCIS fees. Delaying this conversation until after you've accepted creates risk if internal HR processes aren't already set up for your visa category.
Manufacturing at Graphic Packaging International jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Manufacturing at Graphic Packaging International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Graphic Packaging International sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Graphic Packaging International has a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for manufacturing positions, particularly in technical and engineering-focused roles. Sponsorship is most consistently attached to roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree in a field like mechanical or chemical engineering, which satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Graphic Packaging International?
You can apply directly through Graphic Packaging International's careers page or find their open manufacturing roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, highlight your technical degree and any hands-on manufacturing or process experience. If you're on a visa that requires employer action, flag your status early in the process.
Which visa types does Graphic Packaging International commonly sponsor for Manufacturing positions?
Graphic Packaging International sponsors a range of visa types for manufacturing roles, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. The right pathway depends on your nationality, education, and the specific role.
What qualifications does Graphic Packaging International expect for sponsored Manufacturing roles?
For sponsored manufacturing positions, Graphic Packaging typically looks for a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Relevant experience in packaging, paper, or continuous manufacturing environments strengthens your application. Roles at the technician or general production level are less commonly attached to visa sponsorship.
How do I think about timing if I need H-1B sponsorship for a manufacturing role at Graphic Packaging International?
The H-1B cap lottery opens each March for an October 1 start date, so your offer and I-129 filing need to align with that window. If you're on F-1 OPT, you may be able to bridge the gap with a STEM OPT extension. Cap-exempt pathways like TN don't have the same timing constraints. Confirm your start date and visa category with HR before accepting any offer.
