Align Your Credentials to CAR-T Workflows
Legend Biotech's core work centers on CAR-T cell therapy development and manufacturing. Highlighting hands-on experience with cell culture, viral vector production, or GMP-compliant bioprocessing positions your profile directly against their active hiring needs.
Target Roles That Match Your Visa Timeline
If you're on F-1 OPT, prioritize roles in process development or quality where project cycles align with your remaining authorization window. Starting the H-1B petition process before OPT expires requires your employer to file by early April for an October 1 start.
Request Clarity on Sponsorship Early
During initial recruiter conversations, ask directly whether the specific Biotech role is approved for H-1B or OPT sponsorship. Some positions in regulated manufacturing environments have compliance constraints that affect which visa categories the company will file for.
Find Open Biotech Roles Through Migrate Mate
Searching for sponsorship-confirmed Biotech positions at Legend Biotech manually is time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type and employer so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare Your I-129 Supporting Documents in Advance
Once Legend Biotech agrees to sponsor, your employer files Form I-129 with USCIS. Gather your degree transcripts, credential evaluations, and any published research or regulatory submissions early so your HR team can move quickly once the petition window opens.

Find Biotech at Legend Biotech JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Legend Biotech sponsor H-1B visas for Biotechs?
Yes, Legend Biotech sponsors H-1B visas for Biotech roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record across research, process development, and manufacturing functions. If you're in a Biotech role that qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, you're eligible to be petitioned.
Which visa types does Legend Biotech commonly use for Biotech roles?
Legend Biotech sponsors H-1B visas as the primary long-term work authorization for Biotech positions. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying scientific roles, and J-1 for exchange visitors. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree, and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does Legend Biotech expect for sponsored Biotech positions?
Most sponsored Biotech roles at Legend Biotech require a bachelor's or advanced degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a closely related life sciences field. Hands-on laboratory or GMP manufacturing experience is frequently required, particularly for process development and quality roles tied to Legend's cell therapy programs. Advanced degrees improve competitiveness for research-focused positions.
How do I apply for Biotech jobs at Legend Biotech?
You can browse and apply for Biotech roles at Legend Biotech directly through Migrate Mate, which lists open positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Applications typically go through Legend Biotech's careers portal, where you'll submit a resume and may be asked about your current visa status and work authorization needs early in the screening process.
How do I manage my visa timeline when pursuing a Biotech role at Legend Biotech?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must file your H-1B petition with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 cap-year start date, and OPT STEM extensions can bridge the gap if your degree qualifies. Start conversations with Legend Biotech's HR team about sponsorship at the offer stage, not after signing, to ensure the petition timeline aligns with your current status expiration.
