Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Construction Jobs at Manhattan Construction Company Jobs
Align Your Credentials With U.S. Standards
Construction roles often require licensure or certification recognized by U.S. bodies like OSHA or state engineering boards. Get your foreign credentials evaluated by a NACES-approved agency before applying so hiring managers can quickly assess your qualifications.
Target Roles Requiring Specialized Technical Depth
Manhattan Construction Company is more likely to sponsor candidates who bring expertise that's harder to source domestically, such as structural engineering, BIM coordination, or preconstruction estimating. Position your resume around those technical specializations, not general construction management.
Find Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Browse current Construction openings at Manhattan Construction Company on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. You'll see roles matched to your visa type so you're only applying where sponsorship is a real possibility.
Start OPT Applications Well Before Graduation
If you're on an F-1 visa, USCIS recommends filing your OPT application up to 90 days before your program end date. Construction project timelines are rigid, so delayed work authorization can cost you an offer if your start date slips past a project milestone.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask specifically whether the company will cover H-1B filing fees and whether they use premium processing. Construction firms vary on who absorbs USCIS costs, and knowing this before you sign protects you from unexpected out-of-pocket expenses at the I-129 stage.
Prepare a Portfolio Showing Project Scale and Complexity
DOL prevailing wage determinations for H-1B filings are tied to the complexity of the role. Documenting your experience on large commercial or infrastructure projects strengthens both your candidacy and the employer's case for a higher wage level classification.

Find Construction at Manhattan Construction Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Manhattan Construction Company sponsor H-1B visas for Construction roles?
Yes, Manhattan Construction Company has sponsored H-1B visas for Construction positions. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialized roles where the employer can demonstrate a specific degree requirement, which is a prerequisite for H-1B eligibility under the specialty occupation standard. Roles in structural engineering, project controls, or BIM are common fits. Your chances improve when the position requires a specific technical degree rather than a general construction background.
How do I apply for Construction jobs at Manhattan Construction Company?
Start by identifying open Construction roles at Manhattan Construction Company through Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your resume to the technical requirements of each role, emphasizing project scale, certifications, and any U.S.-based experience. If you're on OPT or CPT, clearly note your work authorization status and expiration date in your application materials so the hiring team can plan around your timeline.
Which visa types are commonly used for Construction roles at Manhattan Construction Company?
Manhattan Construction Company has sponsored H-1B visas for Construction professionals and also works with F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT candidates, making it accessible to recent graduates in engineering or construction management. TN visa holders from Canada and Mexico in qualifying engineering categories may also be eligible. The right pathway depends on your nationality, education, and the specific role's duties.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Construction roles at Manhattan Construction Company?
Most sponsored Construction roles require a bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with commercial or large-scale projects carries significant weight. Familiarity with U.S. building codes, OSHA safety standards, and project management software like Procore or Primavera P6 is frequently listed in job requirements and strengthens your application considerably.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Construction role at Manhattan Construction Company?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically spans several months from offer to approval, with regular H-1B cap filings opening in March for an October 1 start date. F-1 OPT authorization from USCIS can take up to 90 days, so filing early is critical if your start date is fixed to a project schedule. TN status for qualifying Canadian citizens can be obtained at the border with the right documentation, making it a faster path in some cases.
