Target roles aligned with sponsored pathways
Marathon has focused its sponsorship on professional and advanced-degree roles in investment and asset management. Prioritize applications to research, portfolio management, and analytical positions, these align most closely with the firm's EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history.
Understand the Green Card timeline upfront
Marathon sponsors Green Cards rather than H-1B visas, so candidates should be prepared for a multi-year immigration process. Research PERM labor certification and EB-2 or EB-3 priority dates before your first interview so you can discuss timelines confidently.
Position yourself as a long-term hire
Green Card sponsorship signals that Marathon is investing in permanent talent, not short-term contractors. In your application and interviews, emphasize career continuity, deep specialization in credit or asset management, and your long-term commitment to contributing to the firm.
Highlight advanced credentials in your field
EB-2 sponsorship typically requires a job that demands an advanced degree or exceptional ability. A CFA designation, master's degree, or PhD in finance, economics, or a quantitative field strengthens your case for the roles Marathon has historically sponsored.
Search for open roles using verified sponsorship data
Not every job board shows which employers actually sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, search for Marathon Asset Management there to find current openings tied to confirmed Green Card sponsorship activity.
Prepare for a rigorous, finance-specific hiring process
Investment firms like Marathon typically run multi-stage technical interviews covering credit analysis, portfolio construction, and market judgment. Demonstrating deep domain expertise is essential, sponsorship decisions at specialized asset managers are closely tied to candidate quality and role fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Marathon Asset Management sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Marathon Asset Management does not have a history of sponsoring H-1B visas. Its sponsorship activity has been focused on permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. Candidates who require H-1B status should clarify this directly with the firm's HR team during the application process.
What visa types does Marathon Asset Management sponsor?
Marathon Asset Management sponsors employees for U.S. permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. Given Marathon's focus as a credit-oriented investment manager, sponsored roles tend to be concentrated in investment research, portfolio management, risk analysis, and quantitative finance. Front-office and analytical roles are your strongest targets if you're seeking sponsorship.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Marathon Asset Management?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find roles at Marathon Asset Management that come with verified visa sponsorship history. How do I approach the application timeline when targeting a Green Card sponsor like Marathon?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM and EB-2 or EB-3 is a multi-year process, so it's worth starting the conversation early. Once you receive an offer, ask HR about their standard sponsorship timeline, when PERM filing typically begins, and whether your priority date could be affected by country of birth. Being informed shows seriousness and helps you plan your immigration strategy realistically.
