Certify Your Healthcare IT Credentials First
CompTIA Healthcare IT Technician or CHTS credentials signal familiarity with HIPAA-compliant systems. Memorial Health System's IT environments run on clinical infrastructure, so arriving with credentials that speak to that context strengthens your application before interviews start.
Search Openings by Department Not Just Title
Memorial Health System posts System Administrator roles under multiple departments, including clinical informatics and network operations. Filtering only by job title can cause you to miss relevant postings. Search by department or keyword to surface the full range of open positions.
Confirm LCA Approval Before Accepting Any Offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. For healthcare system roles, LCA certification typically takes seven to ten business days. Do not give notice to a current employer until LCA certification is confirmed.
Clarify OPT Timing With HR Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, bring your I-20 and EAD to your first HR conversation. Healthcare employers running E-Verify must confirm work authorization before your start date, and Memorial Health System is no exception. A mismatch in start date and OPT validity has ended offers at this stage.
Prepare for PERM If Targeting Permanent Residency
EB-2 and EB-3 PERM sponsorship requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker was available. For System Administrator roles, this means a specific prevailing wage determination through DOL. Ask Memorial Health System's HR team directly whether PERM sponsorship is offered for your role level.
Use Migrate Mate to Track Active Openings
System Administrator roles at Memorial Health System turn over with some regularity across its network locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring healthcare employers and set alerts so you apply during active hiring windows rather than after requisitions close.

Find System Administrator at Memorial Health System JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Memorial Health System sponsor H-1B visas for System Administrators?
Yes, Memorial Health System has sponsored H-1B visas for System Administrator roles. The process follows the standard path: the employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, then submits Form I-129 to USCIS after LCA certification. For cap-subject H-1B cases, timing depends on the annual lottery, so engaging HR about sponsorship intent early in the hiring process is important.
Which visa types are commonly used for System Administrator roles at Memorial Health System?
Memorial Health System has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for technology roles including System Administrator positions. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying computer-related occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
What qualifications and experience are expected for System Administrator roles at Memorial Health System?
Memorial Health System typically looks for candidates with experience managing Windows or Linux server environments, Active Directory, and network infrastructure in a healthcare or similarly regulated setting. Familiarity with HIPAA security requirements and electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is a practical advantage. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is generally expected for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility.
How do I apply for System Administrator jobs at Memorial Health System?
Applications go through Memorial Health System's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. You can also browse verified System Administrator openings at Memorial Health System that offer visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for sponsoring employers so you're not sifting through postings that won't support your visa situation. Apply as early as possible in a hiring cycle, since healthcare IT roles often close quickly.
How do I navigate the timeline between receiving an offer and starting work on a sponsored visa?
The gap between offer and start date varies by visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's April filing window with an October 1 start date, which can mean a six-month or longer wait. TN and H-1B cap-exempt cases move faster, often within two to three months. Confirm whether Memorial Health System's role qualifies as cap-exempt through a nonprofit or government-affiliated entity, which can significantly shorten your timeline.
