NetSPI is on an exciting growth journey as we disrupt and improve the proactive security market. We are looking for individuals with a collaborative, innovative, and customer-first mindset to join our team. Learn more about our award-winning workplace culture and get to know our A-Team.
Join the mission as a Technical Writer, Product. You’ll own and continuously improve our help documentation, release notes, and in-product guidance so customers can successfully adopt and operate a complex cybersecurity platform. This role reports to the Director, Product and Experience and partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success.
Our platform supports real-world security workflows that are data-dense, configuration-heavy, and often permissions-driven. Clear, accurate, and discoverable documentation is essential to reduce friction, improve adoption, and help customers move quickly and confidently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the help center end-to-end: Plan, write, edit, publish, and maintain a structured documentation set (information architecture, taxonomy, navigation, templates, and content standards).
- Release notes ownership: Manage release notes from intake through publication—partnering with Product/Engineering to ensure accuracy, clarity, and customer relevance; maintain a consistent release-note format and archive.
- Docs-as-code in GitHub: Write and manage documentation in Markdown using PR-based workflows (reviews, versioning, branching, release alignment).
- Write for multiple audiences: Create task-based guides for end users, admins, and technical stakeholders; maintain internal enablement/process documentation as needed.
- Document complex enterprise workflows: Translate technical behavior and edge cases into clear, actionable guidance (configurations, roles/permissions, troubleshooting, examples).
- In-product guidance and user comms: Build and maintain Pendo guides/tooltips/walkthroughs and related user communications to support onboarding and feature adoption.
- API documentation support: Contribute to and maintain API documentation (auth, endpoints, examples, errors) in partnership with Engineering; ensure docs reflect real behavior and versioning.
- Quality, consistency, and accessibility: Uphold editorial standards and terminology; ensure documentation is inclusive and accessible (clear structure, headings, alt text, readable tables, link hygiene).
- Insights-driven improvements: Use analytics (search terms, article performance, guide engagement), Support/CS inputs, and recurring questions to prioritize updates that reduce friction and repeat tickets.
- Tooling and automation (including AI): Use modern tooling (linters, link checkers, doc build tooling) and AI-assisted writing/review tools to improve speed and quality—while maintaining human review, accuracy, and security.
- Work management: Intake and prioritize requests via Jira (or similar), communicate timelines, and deliver documentation tied to releases and customer needs.
- UX writing partnership: Collaborate with Product Design on microcopy (labels, empty states, errors) for consistency and clarity across the product.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 3+ years writing product documentation for enterprise SaaS (help centers, product guides, release documentation).
- Docs-as-code: Hands-on Git-based documentation workflow experience (PRs, reviews, Markdown).
- Technical aptitude: Ability to understand and document complex systems by partnering with engineers and SMEs.
- Audience-focused writing: Proven ability to write clear, task-based content for both technical and non-technical users, including examples and troubleshooting.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Experience working with Product, Engineering, Support, and CS to deliver accurate, timely documentation.
- Execution: Experience using Jira (or similar) to manage requests, priorities, and deadlines.
- Editorial rigor: Strong editing skills; ability to maintain consistency across terminology, structure, and style.
- Work Samples: Please submit 2–3 writing samples (links or PDFs) that demonstrate customer-facing product documentation such as:
- Help center articles / product guides
- Release notes
- (Optional) API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger, endpoint docs, examples)
Samples should be publicly shareable or sanitized/redacted. Please do not submit proprietary or confidential materials.*
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cybersecurity domain exposure: Vulnerability management, pentesting workflows, attack surface management, permissions-heavy admin tools, or similar.
- Pendo: Experience building in-app guides, onboarding flows, resource centers, and customer communications.
- API docs depth: OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, SDK docs, developer portals, versioning practices.
- Docs platforms: Docusaurus, MkDocs, GitHub Pages, static site generators, search/analytics tooling.
- AI-enabled tooling: Practical experience using AI assistants for drafting, rewriting, summarization, and style consistency (with a strong accuracy/review mindset).
- Lightweight multimedia: Short how-to videos (e.g., Synthesia or similar) if needed.

Job Roles at NetSPI Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in NetSPI Visa Sponsorship USA
Target security consulting and technical roles
NetSPI's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical and consulting functions. Focus your applications on penetration testing, vulnerability management, and security engineering roles, where the company has the clearest history of supporting international candidates through the immigration process.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship signals long-term commitment
NetSPI's sponsorship pattern leans toward permanent residency pathways like EB-2 and EB-3. This suggests the company invests in retaining international talent long-term, which is a strong signal if you're seeking a sponsor who will support your permanent immigration journey.
Check whether TN visa eligibility applies to your situation
NetSPI sponsors TN visas, which are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. If you hold citizenship in either country and work in a TN-eligible occupation like engineering or computer science, this can be a faster path into the company.
Leverage F-1 OPT as an entry point
NetSPI hires candidates on F-1 OPT, making it accessible for recent international graduates. Starting on OPT gives you time to demonstrate value in a consulting environment before the company considers longer-term sponsorship arrangements like EB-2 or EB-3 petitions.
Highlight specialized cybersecurity credentials in your application
In the Consulting and Professional Services space, niche technical expertise stands out. Certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or CEH signal to NetSPI that you can contribute immediately to client engagements, strengthening the business case for sponsoring your visa or Green Card petition.
Search verified sponsors before applying broadly
Not every company advertising cybersecurity roles will sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your efforts on employers like NetSPI with a documented track record of supporting international candidates.

Does NetSPI sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, NetSPI does not have a documented history of H-1B filings. The company's sponsorship activity has focused on Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT and TN visas. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, it is worth discussing directly with NetSPI's hiring team during the interview process.
Which visa types does NetSPI sponsor?
NetSPI sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This mix suggests the company is willing to support both early-career international graduates entering on OPT and candidates from Canada or Mexico eligible for TN status, as well as professionals pursuing permanent residency through employment-based Green Card pathways.
What types of roles at NetSPI are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
NetSPI is a cybersecurity company focused on penetration testing and attack surface management, so technical and consulting roles are most aligned with its sponsorship activity. Positions in security consulting, vulnerability research, red teaming, and related engineering functions are where international candidates are most likely to find sponsorship support, given the specialized skill sets these roles demand.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at NetSPI?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find visa-sponsored roles at companies like NetSPI. It surfaces verified sponsors filtered by visa type and sponsorship history, so you can quickly identify whether NetSPI has active openings that match your visa situation rather than sifting through postings with no sponsorship clarity.
How do I approach the application process at NetSPI as an international candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process. NetSPI's sponsorship focus on Green Card pathways indicates the company thinks about immigration as a long-term investment, so framing yourself as a candidate with specialized cybersecurity skills and a commitment to building a U.S. career will resonate. Prepare to discuss your specific visa type, timeline, and work authorization status clearly during recruiter screens.
