Verify Your Dental Assistant Credentials Early
Most states require Dental Assistants to hold specific certifications like the DANB CDA or a state-issued license before starting work. Confirm your credentials meet the state requirements for the North American Dental Group location you're targeting before applying.
Target Multi-Location Practices for Cap-Exempt Flexibility
North American Dental Group operates across multiple states, so a role at one location may have different sponsorship timelines than another. Ask HR directly which practice locations have the most active hiring and the shortest credentialing backlogs.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Openings
Not every dental job listing clearly states visa sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter North American Dental Group's Dental Assistant openings by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Ask About OPT and CPT Pathways During Screening
If you're on F-1 status completing a dental assisting or allied health program, North American Dental Group's HR team can often accommodate OPT or CPT placements. Raise this in your first recruiter conversation so the right onboarding process starts immediately.
Understand the TN Visa Option for Canadian and Mexican Candidates
Dental Assistants from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN status under the USMCA. TN approval happens at the port of entry or through USCIS, and North American Dental Group has supported this pathway for healthcare roles, making it worth discussing with their recruitment team.
Clarify the PERM Timeline Before Accepting an EB Offer
If your offer involves EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through DOL can take a year or more before USCIS receives the petition. Get a written timeline from the employer before your first day so you can plan your status continuity.

Does North American Dental Group sponsor H-1B visas for Dental Assistants?
North American Dental Group does sponsor H-1B visas, and Dental Assistant roles at the company have been supported through this pathway. Because H-1B classification requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, the supporting documentation for a Dental Assistant role typically emphasizes state licensure requirements and the clinical complexity of the work. Discuss this with the HR team early in the process.
How do I apply for Dental Assistant jobs at North American Dental Group?
You can browse and apply for Dental Assistant roles at North American Dental Group through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship availability so you're not wasting time on listings that won't support your status. When you apply, highlight your active dental certifications, the states where you're licensed or eligible to work, and your current visa status and work authorization timeline upfront.
Which visa types does North American Dental Group commonly use for Dental Assistant roles?
North American Dental Group has sponsored Dental Assistants through H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. F-1 OPT and CPT are commonly used for candidates still completing allied health programs, while TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves the PERM labor certification process through DOL and is typically a longer-term path.
What qualifications does North American Dental Group expect for a Dental Assistant with visa sponsorship?
Expectations vary by state, but most Dental Assistant roles at North American Dental Group require a completed dental assisting program, DANB certification or equivalent state credential, and radiography certification where required by law. Clinical experience with chairside assistance, sterilization protocols, and patient communication is expected. Candidates on sponsored visas should also be prepared to demonstrate that their foreign credentials are recognized in the relevant state.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Dental Assistant at North American Dental Group?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS can take two to three months, so apply early. H-1B sponsorship follows the annual lottery cycle with an October 1 start date for cap-subject petitions. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways involve PERM through DOL, which can take one to two years before the USCIS petition stage. Confirming the pathway with HR before accepting an offer helps you plan around these windows.
