Frame your portfolio around brand metrics
Sephora evaluates Assistant Account Managers on sell-through rates, assortment performance, and vendor collaboration outcomes. Before applying, build a concise portfolio documenting measurable results from prior retail or brand-side roles so your petition reflects specialty occupation standards.
Target Sephora's vendor-facing open roles
Sephora hires Assistant Account Managers to manage relationships with beauty brands carried in-store and online. Search their careers page filtering for merchandising or vendor management categories, since these roles sit within the business unit most likely to initiate H-1B sponsorship.
Confirm sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Once you receive a verbal offer, ask directly whether the role qualifies for H-1B sponsorship before signing anything. Sephora's retail corporate positions can vary in sponsorship eligibility, so getting written confirmation from their immigration counsel early prevents delays in your timeline.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March each year with an April 1 start date if selected. If you're targeting a full-time offer at Sephora, align your interview process to reach the offer stage before February so your employer can register you in time.
Verify your credentials meet specialty occupation criteria
USCIS requires that an H-1B role normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. For Assistant Account Managers, degrees in business, marketing, or retail management typically satisfy this standard. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed in advance.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Identifying which Sephora postings are open to visa sponsorship takes time when searching generalist job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter directly for Assistant Account Manager roles at Sephora that are sponsorship-eligible, so you apply where your candidacy is actually viable.

Sephora's recruiting process typically includes a phone screen, a case-style interview focused on business results, and a final panel round.
Which visa types does Sephora commonly use for Assistant Account Manager roles?
Sephora primarily uses the H-1B visa for Assistant Account Manager hires who need work authorization. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Sephora has a track record of supporting EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. The visa type ultimately depends on your qualifications, degree level, and how long you've been with the company.
What qualifications does Sephora expect for Assistant Account Manager candidates?
Sephora typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field for Assistant Account Manager roles. How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Sephora?
The H-1B cap registration window opens each March, and USCIS sets an April 1 employment start date for selected petitions. If you need sponsorship, target a signed offer from Sephora by late February at the latest. If you miss the annual cap, ask whether Sephora can place you in a cap-exempt role temporarily or explore whether your current status allows a later start date.
