Tailor your resume to Synechron's fintech stack
Synechron's Java Backend roles typically sit inside financial services delivery teams. Highlight experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and event-driven systems over generic Java proficiency to match what their project teams actually need.
Search open Java Backend roles through Migrate Mate
Synechron posts Java Backend Engineer openings across multiple locations, and availability shifts frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Synechron roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions actively open to sponsored candidates.
Ask about H-1B lottery timing during your offer stage
If you need a new H-1B, the cap registration window opens in March for an October start. Confirm with your Synechron recruiter whether your offer timeline aligns with the next lottery cycle before accepting a start date.
Clarify whether your role is cap-exempt or cap-subject
Some Synechron placements are at qualifying nonprofit or government research institutions, which can make the petition cap-exempt and allow year-round filing. Ask your recruiter directly whether your specific placement qualifies before assuming you need the lottery.

Find Java Backend Engineer at Synechron JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Synechron sponsor H-1B visas for Java Backend Engineers?
Yes, Synechron sponsors H-1B visas for Java Backend Engineers. As a technology and financial services firm that regularly staffs client engagements with specialized engineers, Synechron has an established process for filing H-1B petitions through USCIS. Both cap-subject new petitions and H-1B transfers for candidates already holding the status are supported, depending on your current situation.
How do I apply for Java Backend Engineer jobs at Synechron?
You can browse current Java Backend Engineer openings at Synechron through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship. Apply directly to the listed positions, and make sure your resume reflects the specific backend technologies Synechron deploys, including Java frameworks, microservices architecture, and API integration patterns relevant to financial services clients.
Which visa types does Synechron commonly use for Java Backend Engineer roles?
Synechron sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Java Backend Engineers, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in their academic authorization period. For longer-term permanent residence pathways, Synechron also files EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process with the Department of Labor. TN status is available for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals.
What qualifications does Synechron expect for Java Backend Engineer roles?
Synechron typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, combined with hands-on Java development experience. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means a direct connection between the required degree field and the job duties. Experience with Spring frameworks, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native architectures strengthens your profile significantly.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Synechron?
If you need a new cap-subject H-1B, the process runs on a fixed federal cycle: USCIS opens registration in March, selects petitions by lottery, and approves petitions for an October 1 start date. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce the adjudication window to 15 business days once the petition is filed, but the lottery selection itself cannot be expedited.
